First views of Carnival's all-new Mardi Gras in Rotterdam |4K

On 22nd December 2020 Mardi Gras had her maiden call in Rotterdam as she is travelling from the Meyer Werft shipyard in Turku, Finland, to America. Her next stop of this voyage is Barcelona where she'll take some LNG fuel for the Atlantic crossing. Mardi Gras is the first ship with a roller coaster on board, which you can see at 2:03 . But with a gross tonnage of 180,800 there's for sure many more to explore on Carnival's new Mardi Gras.

@@cruiseshipsmp4 Yeah was great cause since months we didn't have any cruise ship visiting the port! However the ship was empty and as I know, they've been doing some sea trials these days and stuff like I think just few miles away from the shore!

Klasse, das Du den Erstanlauf des neues Carnival Flaggschiffes in Rotterdam filmen konntest! Dabei sind Dir großartige Aufnahmen gelungen! Prima, das Du bei 0:32 die Fahrt durch das riesige Sturmflutsperrwerk mit dabei hast. Echt klasse die Luftaufnahmen und das obwohl es in der Nacht noch so stürmisch dort war. Super, auch die Ankunft vor der tollen Skyline in Rotterdam, natürlich toll das bei 2:03 auch gleich die Achterbahn in Aktion war! Und der Zeitraffer mit Schwenk bei 2:12 ist der Hammer! Kompliment auch wieder für die tolle Musikwahl von Dir! Schön das wir uns vor Ort getroffen hatten. Daumen hoch! Ein frohes Fest und einen guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr 2021 wünsche ich Dir! Vielen Dank! Ich habe das Schiff im letzten Moment noch mit dem Sperrwerk filmen können, viel Zeit war ja nicht zwischen den Standorten. Mit dem Wind gab es zum Glück auch keine Probleme beim fliegen, sah zuerst ja anders aus. Übrigens sind die Drohnenaufnahmen aus Rotterdam doch nicht so gut geworden, dass ich sie mit in das Video nehmen wollte. Die Musik hatte ich dieses Mal ja schon fertig vorbereitet, was mir eine Menge Zeit gespart hat. War schön dich getroffen zu haben. Dir auch noch schöne Weihnachtsfeiertage!

Das ist ein fantastisches Video vom Erstanlauf der Mardi Gras in Rotterdam geworden. Klasse, dass du die Achterbahn bei 2:03 in Aktion zeigst. Die ist bei diesem Schiff ja nun wirklich einmal etwas spektakuläres Neues. Die Blicke auf das Schiff mit der Perspektive ganz nah vom Boden bei 2:25 und 2:44 finde ich auch richtig genial. Daumen ganz weit hoch für dein tolles Video. Gruß Unimedien.

Vielen Dank! Die Achterbahn ist das Highlight vom Schiff, das musste ich natürlich aufnehmen. Ich finde es toll, dass die Reedereien sich da immer neue Dinge einfallen lassen. So wird es auch für uns nicht langweilig. Rotterdam ist auch super zum Schiffe filmen geeignet, da man von verschiedenen Perspektiven sehr nah ran kommt, eine niedrige Kaimauer und natürlich die schöne Skyline hat. Da müsste man sich schon Mühe geben die Aufnahmen noch zu verhauen.

No offense it looks fun to go one but let's be real this thing like every modern cruise ship now is not made for looks. Its looks like those temporary bows they slapped on warships when they lost their bows to torpedoes in WW2.
