FIRST VLOG IN YEARS ☆ Ramadan Preparations, Support Groups, Motherhood + lots of cooking!

Well hello there, and salams... as I am here typing this message and uploading this video - I cannot help but feel a bit of an imposter syndrome with the whole KZbin and vlogging world. I have felt so down and so low on energy for the longest time, that when I finally felt the urge to pick up my camera and create some content - I just went for it without allowing myself to second-guess it and talk myself out of it.

Oh my gosh Eileeen, "I have nothing interesting going on in my life" and yet you are running a whole SUPPORT GROUP - this is AMAZING, very, very cool and I really wish this was more common place. I did my first Ramadan nearly 4 (!) years ago, but I still struggle in many ways. If you could move this online I think you'd have people queueing around the block to join... Alhamdulillah very happy to see you back and mashallah for your ability to be so kind and welcoming to new muslims.

The requests for something similar online have truly been...A LOT. But so far I can't think of a way to properly organize it because you guys are from all around the planet - how to filter who gets to join and who not, how to manage time zones, how to limit group size, how to limit who gets the mic and when...It's a lot more complex haha! In out group we are between 12-20 women and face-to-face and we have 2 hours each time to speak about whatever troubles (or brings joy) each and every girl in the room...maybe you could start something similar wherever you live! just an idea ;)

How I wish there was a support group when I became muslim 🥲 Many tears dropping on my prayer mat in sujood, but I remember reminding myself I have Allah and he is sufficient. But still so nice to have people to relate to and give you strength to push through those hardships. It's truly a beautiful thing that you are able to do this, even if it would reach just 1 person, it's worth it. May you receive all the blessings from it and may Allah make it easy on all reverts 🤲

just came across your video and I really enjoyed it, and I get what you mean about not being like excited about eid because I´m the same, my parents are from different religions so when it was xmas my mums side would make it so special and I absolutely loved it! the presents, decoration, music... but for eid and ramadan it was just a nice day/month. this year I have a 10 month old and determined to make ramadan the most special time ever! I was thinking of getting or making an advent calendar, some activity books for the month, stories, pijamas..(make a ramadan box) kinda get the ideas from xmas and convert them into the ramadan vibe 😁
