Much anticipated review from you. Great review and video! It's good to hear your perspective of the W990. I've like the truck since it was announced and the more and more I see them, the more I'm liking them. This one is spec'd really nicely. Love that limited edition interior and other than the ones Kenworth had for the tour. This is one of the 1st ones I have seen with the Paccar MX. Some talk trash about it, but it seems to be a great engine for what it is. My trucks going on 4 years now and no major issues and no emissions issues as well. I guess if you can't have the external air cleaners than the side air intakes are the next best thing. Again great video!

Love the new style interiors, new seats, and the new 76” bunk! That’s about it. Just not feeling that hood and the lack of air breathers, 5” stacks and the hideous headlights that can not be swapped to Speakers. Now the T880 or 680 do look more appropriate with this new style KW has going. Great video as usual Andy!

I think people are forgetting that this truck goes right along with the T680 and T880 models. It's a part of the new generation of Kenworth trucks. It's not gonna be exactly like a W900, but have similarities. Like Jonathan Duncan said "It's a totally different trucks "

That Limited Edition interior w/Blue stitching and Ravenwood sets the W990 apart from the T880 and T680 for sure. Definitely the sharpest interior Kenworth has done. I had already liked the interior of the 2.1meter cab. Really liking the Limited Edition, takes it to another level.

Ok i almost screeched like a girl i love the temp control haveing temps so you can set 72 degrees instead of monkeying all day long when your companion happens to be a parrot also the amount of storage and cabnets in that truck awsome if any of the trucking companies want to start supplying these to there company drivers they will no longer have a shortage of drivers. I been with same place 3 years i would leave for 9ne of these.

Thanks for posting Andy. This is a nice truck. I know the wider cab gives you more sleeper space, but I like the small cab studio truck with very low road noise. These wider cabs are eat up with road noise. I just do not like the Winnebago bus feel of these cabs. If the cab can have super thick walls and super noise insulation then I would love one of these with a bigger sleeper.

I haven’t heard that complaint about the cabs being noisy. My personal comparisons on the 2.1 m cab is they are quieter.

I reallly like the features of the interior EXCEPT THE REFRIGERATOR TYPE AND LOCATION. I currently have a Peterbilt 389 and I really like the refrigerator. You can put a half gallon of milk in the door, lots of room in the freezer for ice cream, pop cycles and you can pack lots of food on the interior shelving. I also like the fridge up high and the closet on the bottom you can put the dirty clothes laundry bag on the floor. But Kenworth kicks ass with the reclining seat and big table. That is my biggest complaint with the Pete sleeper, sitting on the edge of the bed with a little table sucks!

Definitely has some interesting design features. Quarter fenders are optional. We order without because most customers choose their own. Mostly ½ fenders.

Lol! It's nothing International about it. People keep saying the 9900, but if you really (I don't have to) look you can see and tell that there 2 totally different trucks. Then again since the truck has been released some just have their minds made up and nothing gonna change them. Either way I've seen all the trucks that their claiming it looks like and I'm not seeing it.

I'm buying one this winter, and when I pointed a W990 out to my fiance going down the road the other day, she said it was the first truck that has ever stood out to her. All the other long hoods and curb sniffers blend together, this one catches her eye.

@@allisonlane1102 Yep, it sure is a eye catcher and a head turner. When the boss picked my truck up l'm last year he was turning head and all. Then once I got the truck I was experiencing the same thing. All the negativity when the truck was announced and the 1st day I rolled out in it I've had nothing but compliments and 👍. Even guys in W900's were giving me 👍. Now that it's been out for a while and it seems like the truck has definitely become popular I don't really hear or see much of the negativity. Totally love and enjoy my truck and I wouldn't go with anything else if I was to pick out another new truck.

Very nice new Kenworth model Andy ~ they are branded in my part of World as a T990 (Australia/New Zealand) Kenworth here are traditionally classed as a top truck manufacturer and are hence very popular, I can see this model selling quite well on the market but I have my reservations on them outselling your W900. I myself would have a W900 over a W990 in a heartbeat. W900 Kenworth is a tradition that will never fade, they are and always will be an American Tradition.!!! (Icon) I drove a W9 in the United States in the early 1980's it had 12V 71 Detroit Diesel and 13 speed RR it would be without doubt the best truck I've ever driven in my life.!!! @@AJDeere Remember the W900S? That's kinda what the T880S is modeled after. W900S was popular as a concrete mixer, my bosses first new dump truck was a W900S back in 04 or 05. I've seen a few of them in my area.

Every since I seen the 2.1 meter cab and the space I was hooked. Love my current T880, W990 has my name all over it. Like the space and comfort of the 2.1 meter cab. Plus I like something bold and different!

I drive the 2020 w990 daycab with a 565 Cummins x, 18spd, 11r24.5 , micmak head rack n moose bumper. I use it to haul logs in northern Ontario. I pull a 2020 4 axle timmins log trailer. I love this truck. Pulls like crazy, ride is amazing, the cab is so driver friendly with lots n lots of room for me. I'm 6ft 230 and I run my seat 1 click forward from all the way back and I can hardly reach the fire wall panels with my feet. Compared to my old t800 bunk trunk theres so much more room. The seats Andy mentioned are killer. I only have the premium seat on the driver side. It's so comfy. If you want to come for a ride, check out my channel

Judging by the staff from Kenworth that was at Mid America Truck Show this year they seemed very proud of the W990. I don't blame them. That Limited Edition interior is top notch! The W990 is a modern truck and they did a good job of designing it. It goes right along with the T680 and T880 models.

I’m confused I know this was not a custom order it was ordered from the factory from you guys but why wouldn’t you guys order it with an inverter I mean who’s not gonna want the inverter I mean maybe some people don’t but if I was ordering a truck the inverter would be extremely important. Also if I could give some of my opinion where the wardrobe is with the hanger that should be a refrigerator and a bigger freezer the pull out refrigerator you cannot fit much in and when you’re on the road even though it’s best to eat healthy the frozen dinner is like the trucker go to in my opinion so a bigger freezer is definitely important to me I mean it’s a beautiful truck though no doubt
