I like the idea of this portable wash cart, I have limited room but this looks like a decent option. I'm not at the ceramic coating level yet, but I do think it's cool to see it installed as I watched that video. I did wash my sisters cars over the weekend and they maintain their cars less than I do mine. I saw your decon and polish video. I may go that route as being in this area it needs it for sure. Nice video as always. Not gonna lie, was looking forward to the bloopers but always nice to give input about a giveaway. We appreciate you Keav.

I love the idea of the mobile washing station. I'd get the Costco (or other) hand truck, Affix the reel and pw to the base (marine plywood/Milwaukee top, ect) so all your water is on the bottom. Then the larger Milwaukee cabinet that opens from the front, atop that the 2 or 3 drawer box, then on the top a place for all the spray bottles and foam cannon (maybe thick drawer foam with circle cutouts that won't melt in the sun). The Milwaukee hand truck with bottom drawer is great but to have access to that crate you have to take everything off the top. Thanks for all you do! Royal

These are great ideas. I’m going to try an all in one tool box style, but it’s probably not going to work. Going to try anyways. Problem with mounting reel on top is you have no access to the pressure washer hidden inside to turn on and off. If it was mine I would wire the on/off switch to the toolbox, but too much of a liability for a giveaway.

Gotta say that I've always loved the fact that you usually offer inexpensive options for those who can't afford a more "premium" product. Currently trying to build a cart myself and I've never seen or even thought about building a cart using the Milwaukee packout boxes so that might be pretty cool man! Keep up the great videos!

Going to be fun to figure it all out. They are so expensive though don’t want to make any mistakes modifying. There are some great values out there and some things you don’t need a name brand to get good quality.

Packout boxes can be expensive and when discounted it's in bundles, maybe something like Ridgid could be a better choice. I have also been thinking about a portable solution but using a hand truck instead; there are $80 ones from Costco and Milwaukee, although there is a more expensive Milwaukee Packout utility cart which would make it easier to add to it.

Something I’ve not found a straight answer for…when using any sort of ceramic based product like Ceramic Gloss as a drying aid, does that trash your towel? Does it need to be tossed out like coating towels are?
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav Жыл бұрын
As long as when you are done you soak it in some soap water and let the surfactants break down what is on the towel. DIY Detail Rinseless wash and incredible suds both are great for this. I just use the bucket I was using to wash the car. Then put in the washing machine. I know when using as a drying aid you hate to discard good drying towels.

I actually made a gorilla cart setup but then I pieced it out and sold pretty much everything to restart my setup I’m tempted to go back to it since I have to go from my backyard shed to my front driveway with my setups anytime I wash. I bought a truck a couple of weeks ago it was ceramic coated at the Ford dealership my first wash I thought I had the truck cleaned and dried now I have embedded dirt how can I get this off I washed it with Jay Leno ceramic shampoo
@CarsWithKeav
@CarsWithKeav Ай бұрын
Do you know if that dirt was there when you bought it? They could have installed the ceramic coating over the dirt. Also a possibility the ceramic shampoo you use coated over the dirt that didn’t get off the surface. I have had that happen to me before using a spray and rinse sealant, didn’t wash the best I guess and I basically had protected dirt. Best thing to do is do not using any type of protectant when washing and over time the ceramic shampoo will wear off. APC cleaners can wear it down sooner. If it’s the ceramic from the dealer and it’s a true ceramic then it will require a polish to remove.

@@nicksdragon6929 If taken care of a good wrap install will last at least 4 to 5 years. Also a good wrap brand as well. Ceramic coating it is the first step to make it last as long as possible. I have multiple cars running wraps of 2 to 3 years right now and a previous wrap that was on for 3 years. I usually change up the color every 3 years or so.

If it’s just dust the a quick detailer or waterless. That gives you some lubrication to prevent scratching. Dusters even though very soft they are abrasive because dry contact causes friction.

no spray n rinse product is a topper. lol might as well use ceramic gloss as a drying aide. better coverage and no wasted product onto the floor just spray on after rinse and dry witth microfiber drying towel. I've used all the spray n rinse stuff. it's just a gimmicky waste that doesn't make sense unless you're using a whole bottle every wash to get compete even coverage with no patches. try it on am unprotected car you'll see it's a waste of $ Griots ceramic speed shine as a drying aide 1 spray per panel and dry car. you use barely any and save time and water

I actually had great success with them first Easy Coat then Quick beads as my previous wash process was a leaf blower so I never would touch after the contact wash. They helped get better beading and dry the surface easier. I have now shifted to rinseless wash as my contact and then dry, but I use no other protection as I prefer the ceramic coating to do it’s job and know if it’s failing or having issues. Constantly topping you could be masking a failure and not even know it. Main reason I stopped and if I need a drying aid I’m using C6 mist now just for the lubrication.
