They would also turn the weapon and strike around the shield to go for the hands and even try to hook each other's legs to trip up the other. Also, should've mentioned the Red Chief's bladed shield.

I honestly didn't know we had shields I'm from Western Australia, I'm Noongar I'm from the Baladong and Yuet tribes, my great grannies have a few ancient weapons that have been passed down, which is super cool.

So close to a european war pick and buckler. The warpick would have a shorter beak since it would be made of metal and the buckler would be a plate sized metal shield, not a long shield like that, bjt they function very similarly. A bit more like a metal boxing glove though
