My honest thoughts. It was a small wedding and may not have worked, but quick mixing or transition mixing (playing about 2 minutes of a song) keeps people on the floor. Keeps the vibe going. I usually have to tell people last song at weddings because time is up. You should consider that next level DJ'ing.

I was doing that... my point was this reception started at 3pm and subsequently ended at 7pm, so open dance was roughly 5pm-ish and it was a drinking crowd but still a lot to ask to get folks fired up that early in the day! I miss the days of open dance being 8-10 or 9-11 and people stuck around to celebrate with the wedding party...

It's is totally different doing it with Spotify and the controller. Beat matching and transitioning at the right part of the song can't be done on Spotify. And the STEMs feature is a game changer. It makes DJ'ing alot interesting.

Some stages are Great if they are built correctly!! I played on a couple and they were hollow and I had to move the subs on to the floor. Congratulations on your 1000 Subscribers!!!!

@@DJMikeJames I hear you with the back issues. I had a spinal cord stimulator implanted in my back. It helps some with the neuropathy pain. My son does all my lifting and setup for me. I’m going to be 59 this year and truly does suck getting old.

@@DJMikeJames my wife and daughter use help out also if I had a big event, but now my daughter is a dental hygienist and works a ton of hours and my wife is having her right hip replacement surgery and she has a difficult time walking and bending causes her to have excruciating pains.
