Greetings from Sydney Australia "down under". You're living the dream! It isn't easy getting out of our comfort zone the first time, but after a bit of experience, it all comes together. What to take and what to leave behind is always a dilemma but along the way it gets sorted. I've got a 2004 X-Trail and you've inspired me to fit it out for overnight fishing trips. I'm only 5 foot 2 so plenty of room ha ha. Happy trails!

Might be worth letting some air out of the tyres for extra grip if you get stuck again. 👍

Good luck on your trip, going to be epic. Found your video from looking at videos of Nissan x trails as my wife and i are looking at buying one for our next car. Have you thought about getting some traction boards? I carry them in my defender as a just incase when i go off road, could have given you the traction you needed to get out of that one, will be invaluable when you get to sandy places. Also a Hi lift jack is useful and you can use it as a winch (lots of video's on youtube on how they work for recovery)

Mate. Thats was a close call. Its so easy to get into strife when driving. Not being able to see exactly how the terrain is formed can cause problems. If you have to. Get out and walk some of it. Looking forward to seeing more of the X-trail. Going to sub you on iG now. Rob.
