I am a "bad" player like bottom tier (Silver/Gold Loby) and FINALLY I get some pleasure again playing Apex. Yesterday in ranked finally had games where I was getting 2/3 kills and I didn't feel frustration of players moving insanely fast or doing impossible shots... So i don't know what is up there in the changes but good thing to get rid of the SBMM which was ruining the experience of a lot of people. Also the shield system is way smarter as it's not pure luck anymore. If you landed and the opponent had a Purple shield and you a P2020 no chance of a win now that this has disapeared, it's up to skills.

Never been a huge fan of DMR Meta but holy shit this ranked season seems to have fixed a ton of the issues regarding the LP system; it’s like how it should have been the whole time with LP being fairly earned with placement as well as KP actually mattering now. It’s near perfect.

Honestly I reckon they've been working on this season for a while, there's a lot of changes and tbh all of it is for the best. The game actually feels good to play, love the new perks, love the new mode, the item shop rework is nice to have, the aesthetics of the season are clean. Only issue I've found is requing when playing cross play is a bit buggy but overall its one of the better seasons we've had in apex in a looooong time

This reason feels good so far. Before every team was a sweat fest, and that’s after waiting a weeek. This season, day 1 you have a mix of skill levels, and it feels like every game I get some good fights in, even if I don’t win in the end. It feels like how old Apex used to feel. Very fun so far. Glad they removed MMR. IMO MMR has no place in comp. SBMM only makes sense in pubs. Even then I feel like SBMM over corrected a lot. Made ranked unplayable.

I died to preds 6 of 10 masters 3 time and only 1 time to someone of my skill level. I have 1 kill on the season. Last season my kd was a 1.32 this season its a .10 wtf

Because you keep the same shield level. So if you have a red shield and swap with a blue one, you're still have a red shield, but with only 3 bars filled. Then you can top it off. If you have a blue and swap to purple or red, you'll still have blue but will temporarily get the extra 1 or 2 shields.

Well you can be a pro and have shot games and aim just all about being in your zone and being relaxed, if your only playing for skill and to be the best then yea I'd agree with you but who knows if this person is playing for fun or competing 🤷‍♂️ over all I land I wanna say roughly 70% of my shots but pros be making landing shots look to damn easy I feel like alot of pros cheat and have there cheats and such so deep in there pc's that there impossible to find
