Thank you for the video! I appreciate you sharing your experience. I wonder if wood chips could enrich the soil and help with compaction if spread a year before planting. Plus it could prevent weeds. Maybe there's downsides to this that I'm unaware of

Thank you for watching and your suggestion. We started using woodchips a couple of years ago with great results.

Look at taking a soil sample. Use the Albrecht Kinsey system for soil amendments. There should be someone in your location who can help with this. Neil Kinsey is in Missouri

Do you think auger with hormones and fertilizer would work without tilling
@polkadotfarms Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching. That's possible, but my soil really needs to be subsoiled and then tilled.

You started correct with your technique of planting. Don’t agree with your compaction issue. Yes the fertilizer tables will help in years 2,3, and 4. Be patient your Sandy loam is easy soil to plant in and amend. Don’t till the soil!!!!! Think Regenerative Agriculture !!!! Look 👀 it up on you tube. If followed, you will be way ahead of the curve and saving valuable time and money 💰.
