awh thank YOU for watching! glad it helped, and all my lectures were recorded about from both research methods A and B lectures, i can’t remember exactly what he said at the start of the year but something along the lines of it goes against his values or summit

Alex Barker oo that’s brilliant! my time table was pretty good ngl it changed between each term, but each week i’d have 6 hours of lectures all spread out over the week. they’d usually be one day of the week where i’d have nothing on at all. then there was one computer lab a week and one or two workshops a week for different modules. it’s really relaxed timetable i loved it! :)

liv i’m so glad you liked it! seminars for psychology aren’t actually referred to as seminars, instead they’re known as workshops. in the workshops you’ll usually work as groups (usually your tutor group) and conduct small experiments and work together to collect and analyse data and then independently do a write up (which is a report of the experiment). other things timetables that are seminar like are computer labs, i’m not sure how/if they are running them this year, but last year you would go to a computer cluster in the psych building and work on skills related to data analysis and surrounding areas to help you be able to carry out experiments independently in preparation for your third year project :) i hope this helps, and if you have any more questions please do ask either on here or dm on insta x

What about job placements in psychology field ? Does university of Birmingham provide internships?? Plzz reply

Hi, so internships for psychology UoB don't do. I'm not sure if they have connections for internships for other sources. However, the Integrated Masters (MSci) in Psychology and Psychological Practice gives you a placement in your 4th year (that's the degree course I did). The placement was 8 months and they have different placements. Mine was in forensic secure psychiatric hospitals. My friend's was with Forward Thinking Birmingham working with autistic kids. Another friend had her placement working in the field of eating disorders. The unfortunate thing though is that MSci is extremely competitive and there was only 15 in my cohort. 1 person was doing the course from first year (applying and getting accepted from A-level time), then 75 people applied to transfer from the BSc (including me) in our third year. Only 14 of us were successful in transferring over. Other than the MSci, UoB does not offer placement for psychology for undergraduate or postgraduate, unless you are doing the Clinical or Forensic doctorate. I think I'm right in saying about 300, I think...I was told on my open day which was quite a while ago now but I think that's right and there is about 300 in my cohort :) hope this helps maybe you will be able to find a more concrete number at an open day this year (although it may be virtual)

Is this for the BSc or MSci? Also if you do the BSc is there opportunity to do a placement year?

this is for BSc but if you do MSci I'm pretty sure you do the same it's just the fourth year that is different. Only the MSci offers a placement, I am hoping to do integrate onto the MSci this year :)

@@laurencarterYT Thank you for the reply! I'm about to send off my UCAS today and am conflicted on which one to apply for. If you do the BSc you can integrate onto MSci? Do you do this in your final year or earlier on? And is it based off of UNI performance or your A-levels?

@@xMoolit yep you can integrate to the MSci in 3rd year and it’s based on your uni performance and other experience you gain, you write a personal statement kind of like how you did for your UCAS
