FIRST YEAR UNI HAUL! *everything i’m taking with me*

Today’s video is a huge university haul and mostly everything i’m taking with me for my first year at uni!
Most items I mention are from asda or ikea :)

Some budget high street options I found (got most the stuff my bf needs, minus pots & pans for £50): Wilko for bedding (they have a bedding sale on rn, 25% off) •Fitted sheet £4.50 •Pillow case and duvet cover set £6 •Throw £4 Poundland for crockery & duvet: •10.5 tog single duvet £5!!!!!! •Bowls, different sizes of plates, loads of kitchen utensils all £1 •Glasses are also really cheap - 3 pint glasses £1 -3 regular size glasses £1 -4 shot glasses £1 •They also have those dishmatic sponges for £1 as well •Towels were £3 You can get loads more useful stuff from there, I just didn’t. I liked poundland too because all the crockery matched and they had about 4 neutral colour options. Asda: •Got a set of cutlery, 4x knives, 4x forks, 4x big spoons, 4x little spoons £3.50!!!! •Also saw 13.5 tog duvet (for winter) for £6 •Pack of 4 tea towels £4 Home Bargains!!!! I didnt go to Home Bargains but if there is one on your high street GO THERE FIRST. Literally EVERYTHING is the best price you can get them at in Home Bargains, so I’d go there first if you can 👍 Ikea is far from me, so if you don’t live near an ikea and/or don’t want to wait in the long queues, there are high street options that are just as cheap!

bring as many tea towels as you can!! they will go missing or get dirty so quickly!! the more you have the better :)

I second this! I had a 4 pack and even I went through them weekly cause they get used for all sorts. Also it’s good cause depending on how often you put a wash on you don’t have to wash them as soon as one gets dirty. Either that or there’s always sink washing lol. Make sure you wash your tea towels before going to uni btw - I didn’t and of course all of the bobbles on the fabric dirtied my plates again haha xx

Wow! I am going uni this September studying textiles at Loughborough, thought I would click on this video to see if I have got everything and I noticed that we have literally shopped at the same places and both choose the same theme colour pink obvs (good choice!) I have worked out we have the exact same towels, plants as well as plant pots and the fluffy teddy bear blanket! Have fun at uni! ☺️😂💕

Love this video !! I’m going into second year and be careful with the pans. Most uni hobs are induction for safely reasons. A lot of people make that mistake, just Incase !! 💞💞

Heyo, just a tip, when I started uni we all had the same ikea kitchen stuff so I’d really recommended putting like a splodge of nail varnish or scratching something into the baking sheets (they all look the same)! I lost so much stuff 😂 good luck for September!

I couldn't find any drawers that weren't either too big or stupid expensive, so I actually went for the ikea vesken which was £7! (£11 including shipping). It's trays instead of drawers so I can stand bottles up etc, and then any smaller bits and bobs I think I'll just buy some cheap boxes/baskets to put on them :)
