The Hymn of the Lutheran Church, written and composed by Martin Luther. Based on Psalm 46. We celebrate the Reformation on the last Sunday in October. October 31 is Reformation Day. That is the day that he nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Church in Wittenberg, Germany. The next day was November 1, which is All Saints' Day. He knew that everyone attending services that day would see them. Back then, churches were the Information Centers as all happenings were posted on their doors.

The battle hymn of the reformation.... Such a spiritual hymn played in such a spiritually dead church. It's a great shame most in that gathering don't believe the words they are singing about the King of Glory.

@@oldhardmanjohnson6585 brother i am a Roman Catholic from Asia. I do have a question. I cannot help but view all these Catholic-Protestant conflicts a white European power struggle with a lot of political princes entering the fray and using the spiritual arguments for a fight and division. why should non white Christian populations participate in this conflict? we love Christ. we want us all to be united. we do not want to remember the historic splits that happened in Europe among white Christians. why should we in asia, Africa and elsewhere preserve those conflicts and separations? i love my protestant brothers as my own. i will give my life for them to protect them even amid persecution. i am sorry if i sound cynical about europe but this is my honest view, my brother.
