Russia has stolen a march on the West in West Africa. Moscow has signed a new Satellite deal with Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso. The three junta-run West African nations have partnered with Russia for security and development projects. Russia's Roscosmos will initially develop 2 satellites with the Alliance of Sahel States, to help combat terrorism and improve communication services in the three countries.

I understand how my african brothers feel and why they love their military junta government. In underdeveloped parts of the world democracy, lot of times, doesn't work because instead of taking care about the country leaders focus more on gaining power so it's easier for the foreign powers to corrupt them, which is bad for growth. One stable govt insures that long term planning and execution is possible which will eventually provide economic prosperity but only issue is that this type of govt doesn't care about human rights.
