@KiwiSeeknTheTruth4 күн бұрын
The whole reason why she was stood down is because she left her seat , and not only that etiquette is required in our parliamentary house especially when voting is taking place. And also it was ignorant to her male ancestors that she lead the haka , because in maori traditional culture the men lead the haka as it is a war dance performed before battle and after a victory . There are just some things in your culture that you should never change because that's why maori don't really have a clue where they came from , once they settled in nz with the people who already occupied nz they integrated with that tribe and way of life , then kilked a majority of the indigenous peoples claimed their land then the settlers arrived, British came to make nz a peaceful nation but unfortunately for them nz wasn't peaceful and perfect even though settlers and maori got along there were other tribes that were not peaceful an wanted the crowns protection, because French and American explorers were on their way to nz and thats why the treaty was signed by some cheifs but not all . And those cheifs that signed the treaty joined forces with British and confiscated lands from maori. Monica Matamua appeared before the Waitangi Tribunal in the 1990s. Matamua is a descendant of the Ngāti Hotu tribe, also known as the Pafupaiarehe, and sought recognition of her tribal existence and compensation from the Crown. Matamua's appearance before the tribunal was in response to a brutal battle between the Ngāti Hotu and the Whanganui Māori, where the Whanganui Māori hung the legs of fallen Ngāti Hotu warriors from trees. treatygate.wordpress.com/2013/05/10/kupes-descendant-confirms-other-races-were-here-first/ www.tongarirorivermotel.co.nz/how-can-maori-be-indigenous-to-nz/

People need to know that Māori never ceded their 1835 Declaration of Independence signed 5 years prior to Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Te Tiriti was an agreement between two sovereignties to allow settlement under an understanding of shared governance and protection of Māori rights, land and sovereignty. Hardly surprising to anyone who knows the history of colonialism to understand Britain’s failure to honour this treaty… and here we are 184 years later still fighting colonial oppression.

That Treaty of Waitangi bill has been ordered by the UK Crown, through the Commander-in-Chief of NZDF / Governor General of NZ. NZ is still very much a crown colony, considered a conquest of the crown… and a jewel in the crown! Who “protects” the crown jewels? That’s right!: The military. Since the dawn of time, the military has never been about 'sharing and caring'. The military “defence force” is a devouring, insatiable, invading, conquering force, taking captive-hostages to their money- n power-motivated scams. They want everything! They cannot be content / satisfied that Maori seek to retain a level of independence and sovereignty in their own culture. Instead, they are hell-bent on forcing themselves on the Maori and will not rest until they do. NZ is “The Great Neoliberal Experiment of the World" (i.e.: see John Hopkins Uni ‘research’ on Third Sector Economy / NFP Sector / Civilian Sector). The NZDF is working behind the scenes (read Defence Act 1990, Art 4, 2) to homogenise our society and destroy the Maori’s! Remember that ‘the settlers' (migrants) were (and still are!) brought here on HM Navy military “ships”, air or sea! So, even though we live in the 21st century and we all have 'equal rights' (theoretically), the NZDF is now literally working to 'conquer' (also note the brainwashing propaganda of 'One NZ') what doesn't belong to them… and never has! Their goal is to make us all march in rank-n-file, to ’own' us all "body, mind and soul", in NATO's own words. Remember Luxon is now in NATO’s pocket (through IP4), beholden to the UN Corps-oration and IMF, through debt bondage. The UK/ Crown is one of the 5 veto members in the UN Security Council, the self-declared “Victors of WII”. Debt-bondage securities (including NZ!) are held against the scam of our national debt. This is HUGE, far bigger than you currently know!… And now you’re just catching on.

The TOTAL amount paid to all treaty claims(reimbursement for crimes BTW, not handout), is less than the bailout for just South Canterbury Finance and BNZ, both companies only needed a bailout due to poor management. BTW, half of all Maori alive today will never see a cent from treaty settlements, yet the majority of land illegally seized (98%) is still benefiting the families that live there. If the crime was drugs, the land would have been seized and sold under the proceeds of crimes act. Perhaps iwi with unsettled claims should use that law and seize EVERYTHING taken. They actually don't know what they are protesting about. They are protesting for the sake of it, whereas the MAJORITY of New Zealanders want a discussion on what this bill is all about. For DECADES, the treaty has been mis-handled and mis-interpreted by academics; it means something different every time it's visited. The bill simply seeks to 'lock down' the meaning of the treaty as it was at the time of being signed. NO RIGHTS are being attacked; they are just being defined for legal redress in this modern society.
@NZTrader6 күн бұрын
Understand the reality of what the Treaty Principals bill is intended to do. Maori in New Zealand have more rights than non-Maori. They have priority over non-Maori in areas such as health, education and housing - all the bill is trying to do is install equal rights, which, according to Maori, isn't fair. Maori, on average, are unfortunately over-represented in areas of poor health, poor education and certainly in prisons, and that's been the argument given for the priority rights, i.e. to fix it. But course, there are also many many astute and highly successful Maori that need to help and that's the NZ Govt's point, they want to help those in need, not something based just upon race - even the complicit left-leaning NZ news media deliberately misreports this and certainly overseas news media don't even understand the issue and just parrots the NZ media line.
