Agree. China has striven to overcome the hurdles of the barbaric sanctions of the US. The American can raise the tax of electric car exported from China to America all they like. China doesn't care about that US market. BYD has opened its first flagship shop in Dubai, and more will be opened in several middle east countries. As for mobile phone, Huawei's tri-fold just came out and 4 million people ordered it already on the first day. The phone costs 28,000rmb, nearly US$2,800. How many can afford in US? Besides, all those harsh sanctions of Huawei from the US few years ago were futile. Chinese are very resilient people, the more you suppress them, the more they grit their teeth to find another way. Hence now they have their own lithograph machine for the 7mm chips. The US and the Dutch are seething with rage. Lol😅😂😊

As a Chinese, my hometown government's biggest tax comes from car manufacturing, joint venture manufacturing German cars, Japanese cars, and French cars. In recent years, due to the sudden rise of domestic cars, our joint venture car companies have been greatly affected. Now in the Chinese market, we can no longer see French cars and Korean cars. The sales of Japanese and German cars have also declined significantly. My hometown car companies have a large backlog of French cars. Under the condition of government subsidies, the price of 30,000 dollars of cars will be reduced to 15,000 dollars for sale. If you are Chinese, you must know where I am from. If you spend more than $30,000 in EV in China, you will get a car with more than 10 airbags, lidar, automatic driving, automatic parking, several display screens, wireless charging of mobile phones, massage seats, seat ventilation, karaoke and other functions. If it is an EV, you will only pay between $0.01-0.02/KM
@howell54996 күн бұрын
Is the most frightening is the $10,000 car, in addition to the lack of autonomous driving, radar and massage, most of the functions have, but the cost advantage is too great, and compared to the thin and light Japanese cars, Chinese cars are like tanks, every time the Internet circulates a car accident video of a domestic car is an invisible advertisement, you will see from the 20-meter-high flyover fell, 5 people in the car only suffered minor injuries, or a car accident rear-end, the domestic car lost some paint, the front of the Japanese car is gone. But wealthier Indians are very few and bmw Audi Mercedes are luxury in India. They hardly see around 500 unit sales a month..

@@gotislayin the city of Chennai you'll see atleast 4-5 luxury brands like audi, Mercedes within100mts of traffic... There are wealthy Indians... But if you think they look white like Bollywood you'll be mistaken.... In India rich Indians look average, dark and with poor fashion sense... The ladies of rich husbands not necessarily groom in beauty parlours.... But you can judge them by the size of their homes, cars they own and the weddings they conduct

For perceived status, not for quality. But not for Audi anymore. Audi has same status as Toyotas in China.

India is very different market in cars. They need lot of reengineering for Indian car market. Volkswagen has struggled a lot in Indian market. GM and ford exited the market. Asian companies like Suzuki, Hyundai, Kia, mg, now byd have studied Indian market very well and are penetrating deeply. It’s hard for eu and American car makers to compete here with business as usual. And India is pretty small market right now. It’s very long way to go to even reach 10 million annual sales probably it will take another 15 years. where China car market is 23 million already. That’s how big its market is for car makers.

India should step up in global car race too, whether ICE or EV. Unlike semiconductor where India is still very new to the game, Indian car makers are well experience in automobile industry. Indian market is huge but we need to start exploring global market too.

BMW, Mercedes, Audi, are there any Indian brands in India that match these? These are mass market premium options in Europe. Volkswagen is mass market entry option. Indian cars don’t even match the cars sold by Volkswagen in Europe. It’s a long way still.
