26-year-old EY India employee, Anna Perayil, died recently. Her mother’s letter to the EY Chairman has fuelled anger among workers globally. Perayil’s mother accuses the accounting firm of overworking her daughter to death. She alleged "relentless demands, unrealistic expectations, and glorification of overwork". While these are allegations, thousands of users have taken to social media to share condolences & workplace horror stories. in 2022 my friend got a job in wipro..first they said salary is 5.5 lpa..after 6 months they said they will only pay 3.5 lpa..Bcz of job crisis these private companies demanding us to overwork for bare minimum salary..and these private companies have audcity to ask us if we can be able to overwrok or not??for just bare minimum salary..

If i would be in that situation...and if i was going all through of this i would choose to trust my knowledge and my skill to something on my own ....like practiceing my ca skill or business...rather than being going through all of these... labour ministry should take a serious step in regards to this and form some rules and regulations for companies...for the betterment of workers may her soul rest in peace ..
