The crisis in West Asia continues to worsen as Israel prepares to go ahead with its military operation in Rafah. The recent ceasefire talks between Israel and Hamas have hit a dead end. The goals of a potential Israeli offensive into Rafah are not clear yet. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is adamant about completely wiping out Hamas from Gaza. A few months back, Israel claimed that thousands of Hamas fighters are hiding in Rafah; however, the Israeli Defense Forces have not been able to pinpoint their exact locations. The UN has already warned Israel against an operation in Rafah, saying that it could be a “slaughter of civilians”. Over a million Palestinians are currently residing in Rafah. Will there be a ceasefire in Gaza or is an escalation inevitable? Palki Sharma tells you more.

I've been watching Al-Jazeera since Oct 7 way more than any western-based media outlet except for Channel 4 news in the UK, and that is simply because of the unapologetic blatant bias shown by the western media where facts and context are omitted because it does not fit the pro-western narrative. I don't see the same behavior from Al Jazeera - probably because they don't have to? The facts and history are simply on the side that Al-Jazeera leans toward. To that point, Everything I've seen so far has been supportive of the Palestinian cause, not Hamas. I haven't seen anything "glorifying and supporting" Hamas.

You could argue too that since all Israeli Jews serve in the military then should they qualify as civilians?
