Europe is facing a stark reality: its air defences are woefully inadequate. A recent NATO report revealed the alliance has less than 5% of the capability it needs to protect its eastern flank, particularly countries in Central and Eastern Europe bordering Russia. This vulnerability has become a focal point as the war in Ukraine rages on. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has been asking for more air defence systems to counter relentless Russian airstrikes. While acknowledging the urgency, NATO has yet to take significant steps to bolster air defences in Eastern Europe. Moreover, Europe's efforts to boost their air defence systems are hampered by internal disagreements. Kremlin advisors are suggesting a "demonstrative" nuclear strike in Ukraine. He did negotiate with Ukraine and reached an Agreement within a month. As a show of "good faith" Putin pulled his soldiers back. The West interpreted this as weakness. Putin did not want to kill anyone and didn't treat Ukraine as an enemy. It has been UK/USA which tore up the March 2022 Agreement and told Zelenskyy he would fight. It is Ukraine, not Russia, which has had 500,000 die or severely wounded. With NATO expanding and EU threatening to send in NATO troops, Russia is now on the mission to destroy Ukraine infrastructure and speed up taking back the lands. This results in killing Ukrainian soldiers. Around 1,000 a day during these attacks. Russian casualties are much less.

defence is useful, tho it seems this report forgets that europe can also strike back and more effectively, that would be something for putin to consider.. so its not just defence, its also capabality to strike back and thats their strongers point.. if nato doesnt have much air defence, neather does russia, as ukraine have proved this when they use old weap. to solve ukrains air defence problem it requires some magician or a far far advance system with unlimited ammo. no country in the world has 100 % air defense.

Russia actually withdrew their troops to show "good faith" Russia would honour the Peace Agreement they made with Ukraine in March 2022. Within weeks of entering Ukraine. It was Boris Johnson who tore the Agreement up and told Zelenskyy he was going to fight and there would be no peace. Stop listening to that 'west' propaganda and get the facts. This is brought to light by the African Peace Council when they met to act as mediator for an Agreement. The Council disbanded once they found out the US/EU/UK again did not honour a signed peace plan agreement. For the 7th time, Putin did not ask for East Ukraine territory but only no NATO in Ukraine and banning of Nazi's. But I think Putin has run out of patience and he will not give up the territory he has now acquired in any future negotiations. You can fight as many wars as you want for as long as you want...but they all end in negotiations sooner or later.

That's why China has survived more than 5,000 years while US is only a few hundred years old and looks like it might not survive intact during the next 50.

It's not that they want to kill civilians. (Unless they are Ukraine Nazi soldiers) Many of these soldiers are just young boys who are scared. They don't know if the enemy is hiding in the bus or not. So they shoot out of fear. Or because they have received orders to shoot at any person or vehicle which drives on that road. War is hell. That is the saddest part. The leaders who encourage war are not fighting themselves nor are their children. They have no idea what it is like.
