I buy the bag of six avocados at Costco. I let them stay on the counter for a few days to ripen. Then I peel and de-seed them all. I mash them like potatoes, then scoop them with a cookie scoop and freeze them. Then I have avocado pucks for whenever I need them. The color stays green and they taste great. I’m ready to make guacamole anytime.

Adeline Zook on KZbin gave a GREAT tip for fresh eating avocados-take a ripe (or near ripe) avocado and put in a mason jar filled with cold water. Keep in fridge and they last for a month - I’ve tried and it absolutely works! She has a really good channel too.

If you want to try the dirt thing again at some point, don’t bury them. I always do my slips in dirt. I just lay them on the dirt and kind of squish them down a little. Keep them watered, in bright light on a heat mat and they sprout great. I’ve never been able to get the water method to work.

I always plant mine in dirt like you do. I place them on a heat mat because they love the heat. I’ve heard that the Japanese sweet potatoes are delicious. I want to try planting some this year if I can find some. Maybe at an Asian Market. But they may not be organic there. I’ll check out Trader Joe’s too.

Hi Becky! Thank you for the amazing content! I love watching your videos! The plant you purchased is a Monstera Deliciosa. They are one of my favorites! Want to let you know they grow very large. In optimal conditions, it will only take a few years to be 3-4 feet wide and 4-5 feet tall. They are vining plants so it will need a heavy duty and tall support system. Make sure to only secure the main stem to any supports. Don’t tie up the leaf steams (petioles) as they will move throughout the day. Also, as the plant matures, the leaves will naturally fenestrate (split). They are so gorgeous. When you repot, only choose a pot about 1” diameter larger than the current pot and use a very well-draining soil with tons of orchid bark. You can google ‘Monstera soil mixture’ and get tons of great recommendations. These plants love indirect sunlight but can burn in direct sunlight if not properly acclimated. Your sun room would be a great location once it outgrows the kitchen window.

Becky, the best way to grow sweet potato slips is by putting the potatoes in shallow soil- it works so fast! I got dozens of slips that way that kept coming for months. You have to try it!! I put a potato in a shallow dish and filled it with soil until it was half covered. Then just keep it watered and it will start producing slips in no time!

Magnesium is a must for my eldest daughter and myself at night. It helps relax the body and prevent headaches. We both suffer from migraines, and I have bad muscle spasms. We used to take prescription medication but was able to stop those thanks to the magnesium supplements. Maybe it's a placebo effect, but hey, less fake products in our bodies!

Ooooo. Garlic Parmesan chicken wing sounds delicious. I want to try it. Can’t wait to see you make it!🎉 I usually cut the bottom of asparagus and put it in a glass of water in the refrigerator. It makes it last longer. I haven’t tried anything else but I think anything with a stem still work. I cut the stems first. Oh I have tried cilantro and it works.😊 Sometimes I cut a label and put it in my container to label it but I’m working on making labels so they all look the same. I’m striving for an organized and cohesive home. I’ve always wanted to grow my own sweet potato slips. That’s a bonus for me in this video. Thanks! I’m a visual learner. I used to kill all houseplants. I gave them too much "love"/water. I decided to try again. At a local greenhouse, I asked them what to do. They said do NOT repot the plant (until it's just out growing the little plastic pot) and to set it down inside another pot like you did. I set them in a bucket with some water so they can bottom water. It keeps me from overwatering and killing them. It also keeps the decorative pots looking nicer.

I know that you love corn and processed a lot of it. I also know you love Mexican food. So the other week I made Esquites which is Mexican street corn salad. It's basically elote but off the Cob. You should try it. It is very delicious. Just a suggestion for you Becky.

Becky I watch you every day. I notice you thaw out your meat and make freezer meals and then refreeze the meal. I didn't know you could do that. I am excited to start making your marinated meats so I can use them on the grill this summer. I love watching you.

I know the magnesium at night helps me sleep. I’ve been doing it for years. The magnesium helps with my restless legs & muscle tension. If I forget to take it I have a very restless sleep

Love your content. Just curious, was there anything that you set aside that you wanted to use up that you didn't get to?

You pronounced gochujang correctly! However, it isn’t the same ingredient to make kimchi. It only uses the same pepper which is very similar to Kashmiri chili if ever you need a substitute for the pepper flakes. 😊

Does anyone know if the chocolate covered pretzels are peanut free? I used tart cherry juice for my kids. It works. Just a small amount with apple juice warmed or with hot apple cider.

I'm wondering if you can find a cookie recipe with gochugang! A sweet and salty cookie with a hint of spice could be interesting (like cinnamon hearts a little sweet and tongue numbing!)
