Its always a philosophic battle in shows that deal with morality and religion. Your brain gives itself the illusion of reality but as soon as it realizes the countless possibilities and unknowns of the universe it pushes those thoughts back to save itself from negative emotions because it realizes that everything the human race has or will ever do from your first ancestor to your children and thier children and so on is meaningless progression fueled by the one instinct that has never been lost through countless evolutions and that is the instinct to survive. Many say that they are content knowing that their end is just around the corner but they arent. They know deep down that the face of death is scary and convince themselfes that crossing the threshold of life and death will somehow make everything better. But in reality no one knows what lies ahead. Weather it be immorality, reincarnation, nothingness. We dont know. It could even be that this time will be repeated over and over again because there is no garuntee that we arent living some sick expiriment. All you know is that you exist. I think therefore i am. Even if the universe has been preordained you know that you are you. Maybe not that you exist or that other people exist but you know that in this moment that will come and go in this instant. You are you.
