John demolished those wings, Lorde-style. I like how at the end he compliments Sean and the crew for their deep research into the guests. Also, respect to the show for not spending time on John’s addiction and recovery. Mulaney touched on it briefly in passing a couple of times but so many of his post-rehab and Baby J promo appearances have centred on that part of his life, which he is happy to open up about, but for a lot of celebrities, especially stand-ups, there’s a ton of repetition in the interviews and throwing out bits from their shows. Like when Amy Schumer in her latest special tells the story of how she accidentally named her son an embarrassing pun, I had already heard that story on every late night show and others many times. Hot Ones not only has a fun and refreshing premise, but it comes loaded with deep-cut questions that are also refreshing and new, both for the guest and us watching at home. Also, none of them are awkward or put the guest in an uncomfortable position. The only discomfort on this show is from those wings of death.

Met John while working at a Diner spot here in NJ and I had to take his waffle back because it was burnt but the 2nd time seeing him I realized who he was and had to let him know I was a huge fan. Great guy, had no troubles with our mess up and really could tell he was just a calm collected guy. He is the only celebrity I have ever met like that and I'm so thankful for it.

I haven’t heard Sean laugh like he did in this video since Ramsey and it is because of how honest and witty and chill John is. He is masterful in what he does from an snl writer to an honest drug addict and one of my very favorite new specials because of how raw it is .. And Sean you are magic in and of itself and someone from Barrington IL and have friends that new you on high school I’m so amazed at what you do . No one can interview like you do

This is probably my new favorite episode. It's hard to pick. I've seen them all and so many of them are just so awesome for their own reasons. This one is oh man. He bodied those wings. He acts like he was crying but there was no real reactions. He gave great answers to Sean's great questions and he acknowledged that fact and just everything about this episode was everything you want to happen in a hot one's episode.

Hmmm…it’s so curious…why is it that when someone says they enjoy something other people jump on to reply and say…”nuuh uhh this other thing was better” 🤔…no one is saying YOU have to think it’s the best. I’m genuinely curious…Why not just post your opinion to the feed instead of posting it as a reply/response to someone else’s opinion 🤔

John is my absolute favorite stand-up comedian, this was such a pleasure to watch. I was surprised he had no reaction to Da Bomb until he reminded us that his neurons are all fried, then it became super impressive how he was able to analyze the sauces but not miss a beat in the interview.
