Hello. What would be Your choice if You could choose one of these(gt and non gt) I am confused because I have non GT version in better price than GT. But in the other hand GT is more universall.

I would go with the Curv GT as The RC One 86 GT for me are a bit soft. I enjoyed skiing both of them but from the two then the Curv GT.

@@SnowCampsEurope I think he was asking about The Curve compared to The Curve GT. Did you feel much of a difference when you were carving on-piste between the two? I think the biggest difference seems to be the wider width on the Curve GT versus the Curve, but wondering how it actually feels skiing it without comparing the measurements. Thank you

@@ssk2976 The Curv GT is wider it is also lighter so was easier to turn also helped by the rocker. But when on its edge the GT still performed well.

When you say the Curv do you mean the RC4 The Curv? If so I guess it depends on your weight the RC4 The Curv is a lot stiffer. Whereas the Curv GT is more forgiving. Has BASI specified a radius of your ski should be for level 3?

@@SnowCampsEurope thank you! they didn't specify the radius. The skis that the ski school recommend are dynastar e lite 9 and dynastar 963. I am skiing on the speedzone 12ti 174 right now but they are too long for me unfortunately, so I am searching for something else. I am looking for something that I can charge but doesn't leave me too tired at the end of the day since we will be skiing 5/6 hours a day during training. I think for this situation the dtx ws and gt would be the best, I am just not sure if the gt would be too forgiving and easy for the basi exams.

@@nathasjahoogerdijk1861 The DTX is stiffer than the GT but not as stiff as the RC4 The Curv. So maybe a bit better for you than the GT. But looking at what they want you to do for the L3 and the way they do their short turns the GT could be the way to go. Do you have any video of you skiing? Hi Andy. I would like to ask you how would you compare The Curv with The Curv DTX? What are the pros and cons and which is the better ski after all?

Hi, The RC4 The Curve is a more demanding ski the race ski for all day the DTX is a little more forgiving and easier to ski but still can give gas if needed. You need to work harder to get more out of the RC4 The Curv the DTX will take less effort. I hope that helps. Andy

@@SnowCampsEurope Thanks a lot for the replay! Just to ask a view more things. One reviewer of The Curv DTX concluded that the ski is not stable and needs to be constantly on the edge and it’s hard to get the tips to engage and start a turn. What is your opinion on that statement?

@@aleks-gv8nk I skied the DTX before the RC4 The Curve. I did not have a problem getting the tip to engage. But this is a ski that likes to be on its edge. Also, I had no problem with the stability may be the skier in question had a ski to sort for them or was quite a light build.

Hello Andy, I ski the Curv DTX, a great carving ski, but am considering switching to the GT. I notice that the DTX is asking a lot of me, and I think the GT is a bit more relaxe skiing with my family. But I do want to be able to race once in a while. How sporty is the GT compared to the DTX? thnx.

Hi Gerben, The DTX is defiantly a more demanding ski and from my experience really wants to be on the edge and carving. The GT is a lot of fun and you will not find it as hard to ski but when you want to put it on its edge and let it rip it will still grip the hard pack and ski like it is on rails. Hope that helps. @@SnowCampsEurope Hi Andy, thanks for your reply! Reading this and the ski reviews, the GT seems to be a better fit for me for a week of skiing with the family. A bit of cruising, but also serious speed and carving now and then. The only thing is, they are just hard to find in the Netherlands.

Hi Andy, how would you compare these to the Fischer RC4 WC? That is my go to piste ski. I’m not keen on wider skis. I bought a pair of Atomic Vantage 79 to try on snow days or in spring snow. Only used them for one day in January and didn’t get the chance in March as my trip was cut short.

@@SnowCampsEurope hi Andy, KZbin keeps removing my reply. I have skied the Fischer RC4 WC RT for the 3 seasons up to 19/20 I rented these, this year I bought a pair from Brundl. ( I think it’s because of the link that my reply keeps being removed). I prefer narrower stiff skis. I also brought a pair of Atomic Vantage 79 c with me this season these are more of an all mountain ski- my intention was to use these on new snow days and soft spring snow. However, I only got to use these on one day. I wasn’t over keen on the Atomics and wondered if the Fischer GT might be more suitable for me?

@@johncoe530 I think you're talking about the black one with around a 17 to 18 m radius depending on the size. They are slimmer in the waits and stiffer than this ski this is a more easy-going ski the one your talking about which needs a bit more work.
