A local theorizes that the pond was poisoned intentionally to keep the "smell down". While others say that; due to low water, high temperatures, and or algae blooms leads to oxygen depletion. What you do you guys think?

It's not an algae bloom or poison, there is a lot of dead plant matter that is choking off the oxygen in that pond, a few years back the City of Escondido removed a lot of trees around the pond in Kit Carson Park for that same reason.

Hey Rodney, I filed a Mortality Report with Fish and Game last Thursday 7/22/19. I had gone that morning to fish and it was alarming. Fished the day before that and it was fine. It was depressing. Can’t tell if there’s an algal bloom from your video footage and overcast sky, but that stagnant water doesn’t look good. Probably low dissolved oxygen levels this time of the year. Maybe you could contact fish and game or some local agency/news station to get the word out or find out what’s going on. Also, if they were putting chemicals in the water for odor abatement or reducing the algal blooms then they should’ve posted signs along the shore. A tragedy, really.

That's where I learned it, Deep Creek, Bear Creek, Siberia Creek. Asked a Utube poster about places he'd posted videos, tells me that the multi year droughts have killed off most of, in some areas all of those lovely lil' trout that were so much fun to catch...and eat!! Curious to learn why and who intentionally killed off all those fish. Looks to be more to this than over population??? Be interesting to have a water sample tested.

With the weather we’re having, I would believe the temp and algae blooms depleting the oxygen in the water.
