☀️🍇🖤 Interesting to hear this shortened and adapted for grade school children. The short story was given to 9th graders and modified for their developmental levels. They loved this story. Amy Tan rocks.

I have a question. This is for my practice assignment so can you help me? I want to know what is the summary for this story?

I got a question ,i am doing this for a assignment so help me out would ya :D (Why does Tan's mother go out of her way to prepare a disturbingly traditional Chinese dinner for her daughter and guests? What one sentence best sums up the lesson Tan was not able to understand until years later?)
@mahuamoti92153 жыл бұрын
She cooked a grand meal for the family and guests as 1 she loved her family and wanted to show them how much she valued her family 2 She wanted to showcase her culture of being warm and welcoming to her guests too. 3 Also cooking certain Chinese dishes was also her way to teach her own culture to her daughter as she knew that kids learn more by watching

Tan was not able to understand how much her mom loved her and realized this only years later
