Fish in a Birdcage || OC PMV || Desc. Updated

*CW: FLASHING IMAGES AND BLOOD!*
I somehow managed to finish this in between many other projects and things :D
Started it in January and I reached a point a week ago that I would either have to finish it fast or scrap it completely and decided to finish it since it was already 80% done. It grew to be my comfort project when I needed some varity in my workdays and I'm really happy it's done!
Anyways meet my OCs Esra (Blue guy with the freaky hair) and his twin sister Ester (Light blue/brown gal) and how they both grew in power and as people by working together!
Before I add the clear story to the description I'd love to hear what you think is happening here! I'm always heavily interested in how people would interpret my works so I'll be adding the story later!

When the GEN1 overseers come to check their powers they can't find anything at first- the pills have no effect and the children seem normal. They didn't expect the children of powerless workers to be PTP (P𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 T𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 B𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘰𝘯 𝘎𝘌𝘕3 𝘪𝘴 P𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 T𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 P𝘪𝘭𝘭) and after a GEN1 with the talent of finding supernatural wavelengths catches wind of both of them they send out overseers to dispose of them since they are possibly dangerous since they cant be controlled through the pills.
After narrowly escaping the overseers Ester falls sick and Esra travels through the country to find help and shelter. There he meets Dami and Ira, heads of the Tobacco Farm working for this countrys GEN1 reign. The twins get taken in and led to a shed a bit further from the tobacco farm since Dami doesn't believe their story yet. But to everyone's horror the overseers tracked the siblings down and finished their mission. What they didn't expect was Esra surviving.

From what it looks like, their parent (?) seemed to have been killed by a small group so the siblings were left on their own until Ester somehow got sick so they went for help but then the group that killed their parent came to kill them too in an explosion perhaps, but the explosion only killed Ester who was already weak and Esra survived. Ester seems to be stuck in this weird afterlife or limbo where Esra can communicate with her. They make this plan to attack a group I assume has been trouble for everyone, maybe the same group that killed the parent and Ester, and while telling Ester, she's powerless to help but worried for her brother and doesn't want him to go. He goes anyway and his team doesn't win and Ester can do nothing but watch. With her time in this afterlife I think Ester finds a way to help her brother even from the dead and he eventually gives in and let's her which gives him incredible power which his team thinks they can use to win the battle so they go back and face off against the villain once more (and hopefully win) I really liked this video, it's really well done, the character designs, the backgrounds, the editing, the story, are all amazing to look at!

This is really great. I love the expressions and effects. Okay, story as far as I understand: Esra and Ester were orphaned at a young age and had to live on the streets and hide to survive. Ester ends up being killed before Esra finds his buddies. Ester's ghost/spirit still haunts Esra (who can see ghosts I guess?) and they often discuss in the liminal space between life and death (hence the dead dogs). Esra and his buddies want to defeat a bad guy, but the first attempt does not go well. Ester then offers to lend her spiritual power to Esra and they fuse.

Ok fun story theory time Esra and Ester live together, running/staying away from a group that kills someone close to them (parents probably). They then get attacked by that same group via explosion, where Ester is killed. Esra can somehow still contact sprits int he afterlife, using it to talk to his sister regularly. He and his group are planning to go to battle, and Ester disagrees, possibly because she can see all of the spirits that died in previous battles. She begs him to not go but he refuses and the battle ensues. As Esra gets attacked and other members of his group are killed, Ester breaks down, to me it seems like she can physically feel her brother’s pain, but she might just be upset at seeing it. Afterwards. Esra is upset and Ester comforts him before offering her help. She can give him some kind of power, maybe by channeling her own soul into him, or by using the power of multiple souls, or some other way. He hesitates at first but agrees. We then see him use this power at the battle, hopefully leading to their victory.

From what I can tell, I think it’s like esra is in a spirit realm and sort of like warrior he can visit his sister in her dreams and he longs to be free, and he convinces his sister to let him possess her to fight something like that 😅

OK OK I want to guess what the story is here/how I interpreted it. They are both victims of some oppression that is out of their control, they’ve lost all the family they have left and only have each other. Ester somehow loses her body but her soul is tethered to her brother Esra (or maybe her soul/consciousness only exists on a different plane of existence now?) who joins/starts a group of revolutionaries(or they were already in it) whose goal is to overthrow the people who effectively killed his sister and bring justice. Esra is a fighter but Ester is not, she can’t fight in the state she’s in and she’s forced to sit back and watch her friends and the only family she has left get hurt and possibly killed. This is so pretty, the vibe is perfect and the story seems interesting. And dear god, Luca you never fail to impress me your art is amazing and the designs are so unique, I love it! The lip sync is really good and same with the pallets as well, I unfortunately missed the premiere cause I was busy but I watched it as soon as I could and it was worth it. IM SO IN LOVE WITH YOUR WORK WHAT I thought it's a half PMV/AMV before I reread the name of the video? IT'S BRILLIANT To the theory now!! 0:00 - 0:18 At that time it's shown how Esra and Ester are close at a time when they have been kicked out from their usual place by some evil band. Somewhy Ester got hurt. At the later shots, where she is shown in fullbody, red markings are on her belly (those could be most likely caused by upcoming blast), so maybe she got severely hurt on the head firstly. Therefore, Esra tried to ask for help of his future tribesmen. They got Ester to treatment center, but the evil band tracked them down and blew up the place will all characters, causing Ester's death and Esra getting a new look and maybe getting some powers? 0:18 - 0:36 Ester and Esra meeting for the first time in a kind of limbo - a place for all spirits of dead. 0:36 - 0:41 - Esra and Ira(?) planning an attack on some other stronger and evil band. 0:41 - 0:54 - Ester not agreeing with her brother's plan at all. Maybe, all the dead spirits do not accept her and are trying to hurt her (her concern is shown at 0:52), and that mass attack would cause more deaths = more spirits to haunt Esra. 0:54 - 1:04 Ester asking one last time to rethink the plan. Maybe she doesn't want her brother to get into limbo as well - that way she wouldn't let all her powers out (like it has happend in the end). Also she might feel that the fight is lost before it has even started - team of Esra is outforced. 1:04 - 1:28 The big battle happening. One of the friends of Ira and Esra is killed by the evil forces (Dami?). All that time Ester either feels physical pain when her brother is hit or deep regret bacause of the reasons I've wrote about before. 1:28 - 1:45 Esra is broken. He comes to visit Ester and talk to her after that big event. 1:45 - 1:56 Ester explaining that all the dead come to that limbo as spirits and she doesn't want to stay in that place. 1:56 - 2:17 Ester wanting both getting out of limbo and revenge on the evil guys who killed one of their comrades. At first just asking, and then with force, she convinces her brother to take her strength with him into the world. Maybe Esra didn't have powers before the blast in the treatment center, but afterwards he could merge with close spirits? 2:17 - 2:38 Broken and shattered after the battle, team of good guys understood, that now they have the force to overpower the evil guys. 2:43 - Ester finally being able to let out her whole power through her brother. 2:48 - Main evil guy isn't impressed by the shattered team and doesn't even count them as a scary force. 2:55 - Either Esra getting overwhelmed by power and being blind to all danger, or him feeling unstoppable AND and indeed being one. One more time, I'm in love and I CAN'T WAIT to see more of your OC's!! EDIT: Rethought about last frame. In it you can see 4 paws - at first I thought they were Ester's and Esra's, but, thinking about those again - maybe Ester can control the power all spirits in limbo? And by merging her power with Esra's she gave him basically the power of whole limbo, which obviously overpowers him, giving him that much confindence!

This was amazing!! I have my own guesses as to what's happening, it might be all over the place but here I go! So, I think Esra is trying or cannot activate this power inside of him, represented by the other cat in order to transform and gain more powerful abilities. However, if he does that, he may a. become evil, b. not be able to control it, or c. lose himself while transforming over time. In the meantime though, his sister Ester and others are trying to fight and plan against a rival group with their own defenses. In the end, Esra does get the powers he needs, and together with him, that entity, and the rest of the group have a big battle between the bad side. Cats die, and get hurt and it ends with a shot of Esra transforming for real with an angry/excited expression on his face. Not sure if I'm right, or even close but it was fun speculating and I can't wait to see more from you!!

This is so goood!! I love how everything moves/ is animated, this is like, far more than jus a pmv!! And the emotions aaaa very well done, you really feel with the characters. The oc designs are fabulous as well, it was a little bit special at first, but it actually fits very well with the overall theme, its like some anime with cats (i would love to watch that actuallly... ) Its amazingly done, and so much work has been definitely put into this, i can only say i am now subscribed and i am very glad i chose to watch this !! Well done!!!

Once again wonderful 😻 I watch it again and again! My theory: So I think Ester is dead. Maybe killed by the dogs in 0:51 (are they dogs? The one on the right in front looks like a dog in my opinion). She wanted to fight but Ezra wouldn't let her and she ran away and met those dogs/cats who killed her...Ezra then gets wounded fighting the other cats and Esta combines her and the other fallen cats' powers from the afterlife with his giving him supernatural powers...that's my theory 🙈
