Fish lift at the Salmon Hole(Winooski River), a LC Tributary

Haha! They're tagged and released! What if I catch a tagged salmon?

There's a sign there that says you can go to a website and input the information on the tag as well as the weight and length of the fish and stuff

Record the number, and call fish & Wildlife, they will be able to tell you where it was tagged, how long ago it was, and the length/weight of the fish when it was tagged!

Can the fish get back down from the dam successfully and safely? And how effective is this lift?

+Chase Reagan There are drop-down chutes implemented in the dams upriver that the fish can use and have been documented to use (They have trucked fish 20 miles upriver and have had the same fish show up in the trap again a few weeks later). The, "effectiveness" of the lift will be tested in the next few years as they just barely started to actually transport the salmon upriver to better spawning grounds. We are hoping to see some wild fish come from this.
