The mesh bag you found at 12:09 looks like someone was using it to hold their berley. The waves would wash over the berley at high tide and take the trail back out in to the water.

friend , i noticed you are not using 3-5 OZ weights, how heavy is the bait ? mines ussually end up all the way to let or right by the shore.
