Some history of this song. Jeff, Mark and Mark's brother went to Alaska in the late 90s and Jeff did catch a king or Chinook salmon that weighed 53 pounds. Mark is a professional song writer, TV jingle writer, singer (think of the first singing raisin commercial in the mid 80s), and artist. Mark wrote this song about the experience. Jeff lives with the fish hanging over his fire place. Every family get together Mark sings this song along with his cover of Blue Wing.
