@leezadibennardo61693 жыл бұрын
The fish are guppies. I had 4 but one recently died :/ they aren’t hungry either. I’m not sure what’s wrong? I have a 2.5 gal tank, so there’s more than enough room for 3 guppies
@Fishaholic3 жыл бұрын
Hi Leeza, guppies usually occupies the top part of the tank. My endlers and guppies all swim at the surface. If the fish are swimming around and are active then don't stress. Don't overfeed if they ain't hungry. Is the tank established? How long filter has been running in the tank for?

Thank you. Quite helpful. 2 questions (1) Should we always keep airpump horizontally or can i also keep it vertically on top (power source) comes further from the top. (2) If i use tube from top, should i take the airstone to bottom of tank or should i leave it hanging in middle.
@Fishaholic4 жыл бұрын
Hi Praveen, location of the pump doesn't affect where air stone can be located in the tank. And you can also keep the air pump in any position you want. If its too noisy then add a Styrofoam under it. If the air tube is too long then it might slower the bubbles. Go for a stronger pump than what you need and shouldn't be any issue. Appreciate your comment and have a good one.
@rudabb692 жыл бұрын
question? can you not block one outlet and then the air would go from the other outlet only almost double the power? just wondering...
@Fishaholic2 жыл бұрын
Haven't tried blocking one outlet as I was afraid it might put pressure on the pump so converted 2 outlets to one to get the same amount of air flowing through the air stone

Hi I’ve got the same airpump as the one in the video it makes excessive noise when it’s on high. Is that normal?

Fishaholic thanks so much for your reply I know that they do make sound but the sound that I had was loud but I just opened it and bent the arms a little they were hitting the air chamber and that fixed it now it’s running with normal sound

Since oxygen is absorbed by water as the water comes into contact with air, why does not an air stone that allows increased contact with the water, allow the water to absorb more oxygen ? Yeas ago that was the main reason to install an air stone. I there any proof that an air stone does NOT increase oxygen, or are some just repeating false info?
@Fishaholic3 жыл бұрын
Hey mate, air bubbles coming out of air stone will definitely increase oxygen absorption but the time it stays in contact doesn't help much. I would prefer Small bubbles that travel at slower speed.
@911GAMING-j2w3 жыл бұрын
Can i use an air pump without filter?
@Fishaholic3 жыл бұрын
Air pump will help with surface agitation. However, filter will help with actual filtration and cleansing of aquarium water. You could always use a sponge filter which will do both.
@dimoflores68772 жыл бұрын
You do not need to use the double line hose you can block the other airline hose and it will do nothing to the air pump it won't cause backup it won't cause nothing I have a double Airline pump too and I only use one Outlet to the air pump the other one I got blocked been having it blocked for the last 8 years and nothing has happened to my air pump believe it or not when you run double tubing like that into one Airline you're causing more air in the air tube and it could cause more damage to the air stone that way hope this helps

My stone connected to air pump... But after 1 hours still no bubbles.. But i can feel the machine's vibrate
@Fishaholic3 жыл бұрын
Hey Fara, is it a new pump and Whats the flow rate. Is it placed above the tank? The only possibility could be that pump is not strong enough to push air into the tank, faulty pump, air leaking from where you have connected air tube to pump.
@LeSurrealDream3 жыл бұрын
Do you have a control valve hooked up? If the valved is shut off, no air will flow. Or it could be an issue with the tube connections. You should see bubbles right away, if not, something is wrong.
