Tip: when you're checking for a bite make sure the line has no tension(your float should not be out of the water). Look at the tip of your rod; if it curves downwards u have a prawn on hook

Please use a rod with very soft tip if you attempt this. The prawn may release the bait if it can feel the lift from the rod tip.

when i see the float bobbing up and down,does this mean the prawn is eating the bait?How long shld i wait before pulling ?

It could be small fishes in the pond. Or it maybe your float is too big for the small prawn to take down. Wait until it submerge or if you are impatient, try a strike and move on.

Which size hook is good size for prawning?

Big hook if you know how to strike, small hook if you are newbie because the prawn will ingest the hook and it cannot escape.

hi, sorry can you explain why do we need do measure the depth of the pool? I don't quite understand

Peh WeiXiang hmm... if you are asking how to measure the depth. just stick your rod into the pond and take note the base of the rod to where the rod exit the water surface. you want the hook to be just touching the ground where the prawn can find it.
