I watched this review and others and still bought the M9 because of the low price, and I was planning to use it mostly for reading. I have been EXTREMELY pleased with its performance. It seems that most reviewers compare it to an iPad. That's like comparing a Volkswagen to a Mercedes. I believe the M9 punches above its weight even for causal viewing of videos.

I continue to be very pleased with this tablet. It is in constant use and I have no serious complaints. I don't think there are as many choices for accessories such as cases as what there would be for a Samsung, but that is not a serious issue. I use it for reading email, the bible, Kindle books, the Wall Street Journal and an occasional movie or TV video. Considering that it is only a 9" tablet, the resolution is fine.

1340 x 800 is 800P, just like 1920x1080 is 1080P, not 1920P. It is the vertical lines that determine whether it is 1080P or 1080i.

Thanks for this review, I'm evaluating alternatives to the iPad Mini for flight planning apps, such as iFly GPS, so camera's aren't a deal breaker, nor are the speakers...but how it performs. The screen has to be bright enough to see in different lighting conditions

One has to wonder what Lenovo and Samsung are thinking when they can't seem to deliver a truly completive product to iPad. I'll likely go with a refurbished iPad Mini from Back Market.

happy to see a 9inches available. for browsing map 8 inches has not difference from 7 inches. and a 10inch tablet's too heavy and not always stable and secure on dashboard + blocking some buttons. i just purcahse this tablet for the purpose of using the map on the road, hasn't arrived yet. And am just curious as some video shows it comes with a very basic transparent case. appreciate if you can tell me if the case's included?

I love how they were active about updates to this tab when I got it in the first days, slows down to sleep when not use, the bottom tab when you have an active tab contains multiple apps to quick open, came with a nice clear case, and I love the quality!! Also came with a screen protector 🎉❤

Update sucks, You can't turn it up side down anymore so you can not place it down. If you have headphone plug in or power. The triangle block navigation is smaller and they have stupid app bar next to it, you will hit the app by mistake.

Is working landscape mode but you tube doesnt work. You seting in developer mode. If you long press on the task bar from any app this will go away. In gesture mode. I bought this 3 weeks ago and im happy with this. My variant has 4gb of ram.

Great video as always. I am trying to decide between getting the M9 or the P11. I mainly want to use it for reading comics, books videos and so on. I was wondering if you've tried Kuro Reader for Comics. I have Cover (Comic book Reader) on my Surface pro but after a while, it begins to feel heavy. This is why I'm considering the M9 instead of the P11. Have you ever tried this software and would it be ok for reading instead of using it on something as large as the P11? Thank you!

M9 would definitely feel lighter just not as good of screen and performance. iPad mini 6 is probably the best small option but quite a bit more expensive.

It's hard to find a good tablet below 10 inch. I just bought Lenovo P11 Pro and I'm going to return it as it's too big for me and too expensive considering my needs. I just want to read articles, blogs and Wikipedia, sometimes watch YT and use simple apps. For reading, smaller device is more convenient. Moreover, I don't want to overpay for something I'll use maybe a few hours a week. I only wish M9 had better resolution... That's why I take M10 into consideration as well.

If your budget allows it, keep the P11 Pro. You pay more out of pocket but it'll last you much longer. The user experience is also much more enjoyable. The only purchases I regret are the budget devices I compromised on, because I usually end up buying what I wanted originally anyways. Like they say, buy it nice or buy it twice.

Very happy that I went for the Tab M9 instead of the 11” Tab M11 or the 14.5” Tab Extreme. Mine’s the Wifi-only model but hey, I can tether my phone with mobile data as a hotspot turned on when out travelling and connect up the Tab M9 to the hotspot I’m tethering from my phone. Put in a 256GB microSD card into my Tab M9 and playing Roblox (at around 20-30fps not the best framerates but still enjoyable), streaming Disney+ and Netflix and productivity with some Microsoft 365.

Barnes and Noble is end-of-lifing their Nook reading tablets from 2013 and earlier this month (May 2024), as they introduce a Nook-branded Lenovo M9. It looks like I won't be too unhappy 'upgrading' to this tablet (B&N is giving a $30 upgrade coupon). A loss of screen resolution from the 2012 Nook HD+, but it will be nice to have an up-to-date Android tablet.

If you're asking if it's usable, than answer is yes. I had a tab a7 with 3gb of ram and for multimedia is was perfectly fine. You just have to remember to completely close apps if you don't want it to bog down. That being said, buying a device with only 3gb of ram in 2023 isn't really the best idea, I'd grab the 4/64

You need a tablet with true pen support. If you're on a budget and need an accurate tablet to physically write with the stylus, get the s6 lite 2022. There's no cheaper tablet with true pen support than that.

Helpful review! Just bought one during Lenovo sale. Tempted to get the 11.2 also but one new device is sufficient for now and I trust Lenovo will have future sales! The smaller is more of a need than the larger as I already have a 10” iPad Air. This will replace an older Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8” SM-T350 which has become nearly unresponsive. Only on Android 7, last patched 6 years ago! Has only 1.5 GB RAM! 😂

The new update sucks, the navigation is smaller now (triangle, circle, block) and it is slower to process now when hitting the block). And the new bar with apps next to the navigation is too close where you may hit an app instead of the navigation arrow or block. But it is a nice tablet bought directly from the company with more umph.

For me, a 10 inch tablet is the right size. Not too big, not too small. I like to hold my tablet up, and the 12 inch size is a bit large and heavy, but 8 inches is so small that I might as well just use my phone screen.
