When someone describes how I can do work like video editing on tablet, I feel like I've traveled back in time. Years ago, when pc's weren't as powerful as they are now, video editing on such a machine was a pain. And if I didn't have the full version of the program, then it was horribly truncated and you couldn't do anything properly there. And now someone is offering me a device that has performance, like a pc a few years ago with software that has android features, like some 15 year old free program and I'm supposed to take that as an advantage? These mobile devices have one and only one advantage. They are mobile. Working on them is like going back in time and still being perhaps grateful, as if those people didn't know the capabilities of a pc nowadays.

@thanks. I was also searching and only galaxy s9+ and s10 series have them, but these are expensive tablets. I was checking Matepad and Honor MagicPad yesterday, none of them has MicroSD slot, it’s kind disappointing to pay for all those but they do not have a MicroSD slot. I understand if they do not have IP rating because of increasing in cost but MicroSD slot?!

sadly the more affordable options have discarded the microSD support its quite sad since its a cheap upgrade to storage iirc one of lenovo's earlier Y700 still has it and was a decent gaming tablet for cheap

If it works on an Android certified phone it will work on any new Android tablet, assuming a reasonably current Android version. The display might not be full screen or adapted for large screens if the app developer didn’t write the extra code. Also some apps written for China versions of “Android”, or side loaded (not on Google Play) might have issues. This is a new device and is expected to have the highest level of compatibility. Keep in mind China apps can be quirky since Android is restricted in China and apps written for for China markets are a world on their own.

I got the OnePlus pad 2 recently for 450 with the keyboard included. Wish this came out earlier so I have more option to choose an Android tablet that's not Samsung. But I still feel like the pad 2 is a better value.

It's a bit more expensive and it does not support SD card. However, you should get it if you can afford it. A lower model is coming (Idea Tab Pro aka XiaoXin Tab Pro 2025) with expected $350 price. It's kind of like P12 but with 8200 and 144Hz display

Oh man, do I have a ton of questions for you about this one! This straight-up might be my next tablet. -Can all the AI stuff be turned off or uninstalled? Gemini, Lenovo AI, all of it. I know it's a weird question, but that's just how I roll. -Any issues installing custom APKs? It's the main reason I love Android. -Can you use 3 apps at once instead of two with standard split screen? Thanks in advance!

It looks incredibly similar to the mi pad 7 I have right down to the drawing pen 😅. It will most likely have support for 3 apps split in workstation mode and there should be no problem installing 3rd party apk.

do you mean floating window? all android tablets can use floating windows so more than 2 apps is possible on the screen

@@erwintan4746 I'm moreso talking about the "one large app plus + two smaller apps on the other side" approach. Samsung's tablets do this and I wasn't sure if others do. But yeah if I need a third app I can always use floating windows instead, or just the productivity mode.

I do like lenovo, i used the lenovo tab m8 fhd, before shifting to the Xiaomi pad 6. The Xiaomi pad 6 is an outstanding tablet which is typically overpowered. I just loved the specs of this beast as it comes with the sd 870 processor which is awesome. I love the performance of it, bought it before 3 months, my lenovo tab m8 gave me good performance for about 5 years before it said goodbye as it fell in the water to take a bath, lol. Well, kudos my friend!

Lol, 😅 I also had a Lenovo tab m10 HD for 4+ years and later on, it started to lag alot due to old processor & Low ram memory so I bought a new tablet recently (not very recently) Lenovo tab p12 and I have tested Xiaomi, Hawaii, Samsung and alot more and tablet's with 8gb ram and Lenovo On top mate!

For the exception of the software support , I am actually shocked how much you get with this tablet for its price with the keyboard and S pen, Samsung is a whole lesser evil than apple scam at this point...like I literally have to decide if the cost is worth it for any accessories or etc. it's insane 😮

@@Danominatorin three months at Best Buy and on the Lenovo website is my guess. Definitely next Black Friday season. For example I picked up the 2024 Duet 3 with pen, 8gb/128gb for $275 in November 2024 on one of their typical flash sales. Its the way they generate excitement and compete with Costco promotions on Samsung. In the same November time frame it was just 4gb/no pen at Best Buy but same price. You really have to game it with Lenovo and be patient. My $49l guestimate is also based on actual value when they are competing with the iPad 10 and predicted 11. And with Samsung who occasionally also includes keyboards. If we had reached 8 years or so of security updates to match new release Chromebooks it would have greater value, but Lenovo is stingy with updates.
