I'm heavily on the punk side with my own music and still I can't imagine any bigger influences than fishbone (especially Norwood as a bassist), I love ska and funk too where they're obvious choices but God damn just in general one of the greatest gifts to music.

Saw these cats live at Hammerjacks in Baltimore waaayy back and to this day I've never seen anything like them. My buddy walked of that pit bloody, bruised and happy as the day is long. They bring IT ALL to the show - it's all killer and no filler. Amazing!

@Richard Childress..The only original members in the current lineup are Angelo, Norwood, and Dirty Walt (who recently rejoined after a sabbatical). The rhythm guitarist in this video, John Bingham, has started his own project called The Soul of John Black. Very good stuff. The last I heard about Fish, the drummer, is that he is a session drummer for acts like Justin Timberlake. Kendall Jones lost his mind, and Chris Dowd is apparently an asshole. There is a great documentary about Fishbone you should watch; Everyday Sunshine
