I noticed that you tempered the copper before trying to shape it. This make the metal crack. Was this intentional? You know a lot more about metal working than I do, so this made me curious. Thank you.

Hi, copper smelting is new to me ) What I know about copper smelting 1. To prevent it from oxidizing in the air during smelting, sodium tetraborate should be added 2. To make copper soft, you need to dip it hot in water 3. If you want copper to be hard, you need to heat it and let it cool in the air. The fact that the copper was cracking meant that there were a lot of impurities in it, it was not pure, it should not have been like that

Так,підтримую Твого тестя,мідні блешні полюбляють окуні.Ловив на мідні блешні щуку і деколи попадались трофейні окуні на блешню 6,5 см. Будеш мати можливість,попробуй зробити блешню з гривні.Але без втрати ваги ,розтягнути її в вигляді каплі.Думаю,що сподобається рибі і як витвір.А за плавлення міді дякую.
