Hello, in this video I mastered the melting of copper, it melts quite hard, I had to make a koaline wool guard, especially since it was cold outside that the water was frozen )), I think we got a great fishing lure, how do you like the color of red copper? My father-in-law says that this color in his youth was the best for catching large perch, other lures were silent, and the color of red copper was the best. Write how you will catch fish with this color, I will be interested.

Cool videos been been watching them for the last couple weeks. Nice talent waiting on supplies to arrive and am going to try a few myself. I challenge you to make an exact copy of a Williams Wabler Gold/Silver NuWrinkle any size with the stabilizing ridge.

Hi, thank you, I have already made such a jig, I made the stabilizing rod from a tungsten electrode, the lure game turned out to be very similar to the original kzbin.info/www/bejne/i6DLloaplMZ1Y9U

I noticed that you tempered the copper before trying to shape it. This make the metal crack. Was this intentional? You know a lot more about metal working than I do, so this made me curious. Thank you.

Hi, copper smelting is new to me ) What I know about copper smelting 1. To prevent it from oxidizing in the air during smelting, sodium tetraborate should be added 2. To make copper soft, you need to dip it hot in water 3. If you want copper to be hard, you need to heat it and let it cool in the air. The fact that the copper was cracking meant that there were a lot of impurities in it, it was not pure, it should not have been like that

@@CopperFishLure Thank you for the lesson. I didn't know any of that about copper. It is a lot different than steel.
