Fisher and Paykel Washsmart 8.5Kg Washing Machine // New Agitator and Final Tub clean

Here we go. Servicing has been complete, and Machine is ready to take on any load of Laundry which I'll hopefully soon do beginning of Next Week depending how busy I am especially what I got going on this week. But Stay tuned, cause I'll soon promise a Full Cycle video of this machine, and I'm also thinking of a Laundry Day video with this machine and the Bosch to make things more fun. See how we go.

MrTisan!! Great video, but can you please demonstrate how to remove the lid of this model, so that I can get the tub out and remove the built up lint from inside and give it a good scrub? I can’t find a link or video anywhere 🙏

I don't have this machine anymore, but to remove the top, you remove the screws on the back of the control panel, then lift it and push it forward so it releases.

@@mrtisan29 thank you! Does the actual lid need to be removed first, or are the lid a control panel simply one unit?

@@helenvosti8543 You don't really need to, just hold it shut when you lift the top off and rest it on something, because you don't want the cables getting yanked from the weight of the top

Hey MrTisan, I am going to clean this machine today, and unlike any videos I’ve seen, there is a little clip on the left hand side of the lid only (not one on the right). Should I still just be able to remove the whole top deck with the screws at the back, or do I somehow need to remove the lid with the side clip first? Thank you 🙏

IT'S MEANT TO TURN ON THE PUMP WHEN THE MACHINE IS OFF AND WATER IS LEFT IN THE MACHINE FOR SAFETY REASONS

LID MUST BE CLOSED FOR IT TO LOCK DURING DRAIN BECAUSE IT'S MEANT TO LOCK IT FROM RINSE UNTIL FINISHED EXCEPT ON THE 10KG WHERE IT LOCKS FOR THE WHOLE CYCLE

Wrong, the machine will drain with the lid up. This has always been the case for NZ/AU models, however in the USA the lid is locked during the entire cycle on all models, due to different safety requirements.
