I agree fisher and martin season is a month to early. Have you ever just use a vertical tree to make a running pole type set. I find they work just as well. Set it up the same way you showed with bait just out side of the body grip jaws when they close. I like useing this set because the best location doesn't always have a leaning pole.amazing to see two martins caught a short time apart.

The People's Republic of New Yorkastan has GREAT hunting, trapping and fishing... I miss that... A lot... But other than that.... I can't tell you how much I bitched about the season dates for fisher and marten. They have their heads up their asses on that. Fishers are incredibly blurred in January. I hated letting them go!

I have a trapline in saranac and this is my second year trying to trap a marten or fisher up here. Only this I’ve caught are weasels. Love your Chanel bud if you ever wanna meet up lmk haha

@@TheADKTrapper everything that I’ve found on it has to be on the ground and if mounted vertically the opening can’t be more than 6 inches off the ground and the trap has to be 4 inches from opening
