It was nice. The surrounding area was very cool. Having a hot tub was perfect timing since I threw my back out just before getting there.

It really is a great area. Mt Dora is very cool. One of my best friends son and daughter in law live in Mt Dora. Tavares is a neat little town too!!

We're heading there after Christmas probably the 26th. We're from NH and heading down to eastbend North Carolina witch is our halfway point.But we might stay over in Harrison Pennsylvania overnight then spend 3 days in eastbend. There is a campground near there called Mayberry. Andy Griffin home town .visit friends and explore. Then spend a night in Savanna Georgia and final track to Fisherman's Cove Golf resort.. this will be our 1st big trip with our 29' new camper. Can you bike from the campground to Tavares? We have a huskie so the park next door will come in handy. Any other tips would be helpful there as well as on our way down. Thank you! PS : great video! You guys are ausome. Love the sound track to the dog park.

Thank you. It is really is such a great area. You can bike to the town of Tavares but there some areas on the main road that are a bit tight. When we went there was plenty of parking even for a 1 ton truck. The county park is very walkable and bikeable. Be sure to check out Burgers, Tacos and Waffles (BTW) in Tavares and Twisted Biscuit for Breakfast just down the road from the county park, and the sunset at the Hideaway. You will enjoy the area. If your back in fisherman's Cove in Jan. thru April will look you up. Thanks so much. My name is Denis and my Wife Joyce. Looking forward next winter to go down. This will be our 1st time to rv in Florida. We been camping in the New England area. Be exciting. We reserved site 128 on palace Ave. Looks pretty good from the drone shot you made.

I looked at my park advisor app and clicked on fisherman's Cove Golf and they rated it 2 stars and some of the complaints from 6 reviews up to 2023 said the bathrooms were dirty pool in disrepair and some of the staff were rude.the gym was moldy and no A/C. Did you run into any of this last year?

I sent a comment earlier on the conditions like the pool in disrepair no A/C in the gym and found mold . Also the staff at least some were rude. Could you clarify some of this? We plan on going but we really on your advice and don't want to travel 1, 500 miles and find it different then expected. We are planing to stay for almost 4 months there at Fisherman's Cove & golf. Sorry just getting back to you. We have been traveling. The pool is old but functional, the hot tub is large and works great. The equipment in the gym was good. The AC struggles a bit so maybe a little musty smelling. The bathrooms were fine. The staff was hit or miss depending on who we spoke with but I would not say rude. The bottom line is that we would stay there again.

Sorry for all the questions but have you been to Oak Alley in Webster Florida. Heard it was a 5 star resort. And if you had what would be your resort to go to if you had a pick between fisherman's Cove or Oak Alley. Thank you. PS: You guys are ausome and we follow you all over the country. We think your opinions are important to us .

No problem at all! We love the convo! We have not been to Oak Alley RV, but I did look it up and it looks amazing!!! I would say there’s not much comparison between the two! Oak Alley looks to be a true resort whereas Fisherman’s Cove is not. It does have a pool/hot tub and gym plus the golf and fishing if you choose, but it’s not nearly as nice as what Oak Alley seems! For is, Fisherman’s Cove offered a great location to the fun stuff we like to do in that area at a good value and was “nice enough” if you know what I mean. They also have a lot of repeat quests so we’ve become friends with several and look forward to seeing them each year! 😊 All that said, we would like to try Oak Alley one day! I don’t know what they charge, but I’m guessing it’s significantly more. Thank you So much for following along! 🤗 We appreciate you and always welcome questions/comments…actually look forward to them! 😉 Let us know what you decide to do! We had waited too late to book for the month of January and normally would not like to spend this much but we were kind of stuck. That being said, we did enjoy our stay there. Watching is free. Haha. Thanks for watching!!
