that rod looked like a BFS rod and they don't work to well with heavier jerkbaits like the megabass 110. i really like the kind of bigger lake content!

I haven't used a bait casting reel in longer than a year. I can't wait until this spring to go musky fishing again. I basically fished for bluegills a few times this summer and carp fished for about a week at night.

if anyone is wondering, yall can get into bfs with the kastking zephyer, its good! its gotten me some FATTY slot stripped bass here in Maryland pulled up a 25 and a 29 inch ones as my biggest 2 on the reel, and it still cranks well!

Not to be a naysayer, but if you're willing to pay the price of a Zephyr, the Soloking Acura HICC50 or the Tsurinoya Dark Wolf Ultra or Tsu Elf/Genius are far superior reels for the same price or less.

@@PizzaShrimp Definitely a good plan. My current favorite reels are the BearKing Zeus (Dark Wolf Ultra variant with Shimano FTB style brake) and the Haibo Arise Air. Both are sub 1 gram casters right out of the box.
