2nd only to Beach Bomber leet af your channel is kickin'. FISHGUM is a new find for me. You educate and dont seem to be pimping a product so hard that i have to skip the video. I thank you for being on youtube, giving your time, experience, and inspiring commentary in a way that is easily understood. i've got a lot to learn, as I really want to travel and fish from the beach, piers, shore banks and basically everywhere one can walk up to and fish the ocean shores..im a Wyoming guy so the saltwater is very new to me. Its all very intriguing. I fished in the Delaware bay as a teenager...that was over 40 years ago...and it was my only saltwater fishing i've ever experienced. Thanks once again. The love of this "sport" is evident in your videos. I dig it. and your use of technology incorporated into your fishing is definitely well used/appropriate. If i were somebody i'd give you a raise, an A+, a trophy , or even a merit badge, a homemade bunt cake!!!...but i'm nobody so this 2:30 am handful of words is about all i can do and afford.. you rock bro! take care!

Watching the fish pick and play with the bait I find far more interesting than watching the water's surface. 😊😊 Regarding the great cobia debate, I am going remora as they have rounded tails (3:08) whereas cobia have forked tails.

Yeah, the fact that he thinks that was a remora shows you he knows very little about fishing. So obviously a large remote. Just by the tail you can tell. Mr. Faggioni, wouldn't it be better to put the camera on top, connecting your main line with your leader line, facing down in order to prevent losing your camera to a possible line cut by a blue crab or what not...? Just a thought.

Years ago my Dad brought us fishing on the side the road in a Louisiana bayou. We kept getting nibbles and would reel in an empty hook. One of us ended up reeling in very slowly and we saw it was a crab hanging onto the bait. We transitioned from fishing to crabbing. As we got them close enough to shore, we were able to fling them out of the water, and grabed them from the ground. We ended up with about a dozen or so, plenty enough for us to enjoy a crab boil that night. It was fun!

REMORA GUARANTEED. 1. Cobia pectoral fins point out and down. 2. Remora pectoral are out and up. They are one of the only fish with upward pointing pectorals and have evolved them in this manner to stabilize and push against their host when they attach to sharks and rays. 3. Cobia tails are forked 4. Remora tails are rounded 5. Both fish are not in same classification and are not related. 6. Both fish share similar coloration. 7. Remoras do not school. 8. Cobias school together Nice video though but no baby cobia.😢

We started surf fishing with 6 n a half and 7 foot inshore rods and caught some pompano whiting and even a few reds. 2 oz pyramid sinkers is about max for casting unless you have a heavy rod then a 3oz. You do have to lob when you cast and will be limited on casting distance but some whiting and reds are only 20 -30 feet off the beach just behind the wash. I tie our pomp rigs and use exclusively owner mutu circle hooks they are the only ones I've found are really sharp out of the pack. Look on KZbin if you want to learn to tie pompano rigs. Size 2 is a good all around hook. Pieces of fresh dead or frozen shrimp about a half or 3/4 inch with a small piece of fish gum or fish bites on the hook also. Just remember to keep the drag very loose when putting the rod in a sand spike so fish can take line and not pull over your spike and drag your rods into the sand. I use 20 lb power pro main line and usually 15 or 20 lb florocarbin leaders. Now most of our rods are 9 ft penn 6000 fierce combos they run around $120 n I'm sure there are other good combo packages also if you want a longer rod. If you start catching fish it is addicting we started with 2 short inshore rods and now put out a 6 rod spread of 9 and 10 footers. Good luck

@scottweidner1613 THANK YOU Scott, that is exactly what I was looking for. I grew up on Mobile Bay/Fort Morgan Rd but it's been 30 years since I've done any fishing down there (I now live in Nashville and have a family of my own). So much has changed. As a teenager, at my parents beach house on Ft Morgan (7th mile marker, Ponce DeLeon), we used to drive our trucks on the beach, pull out a long gill net and catch everything that swam through. We would make $500 a day selling our catch to locals on the beach, of course we knew everyone down there. My guess is probably can't do that anymore . . . Man, those were the good ole days for sure ! ! !

@FishGum
@FishGum 2 ай бұрын
There’s a lot going on there, floats attract fish and do help keep the bait on the bottom of the sea floor. However, there’s more hesitation of fish taking the bait in most underwater videos because of the oddity of a black and green camera being so close to the hooks. They are spooked a little by it.

It's obvious you don't have 2 other licensed angles with you to claim 2 poles each. You even say 'you' might be getting a bite on a pole at the opposite end at around 0:20.
