Just subscribed guys. You won't ever be fishing in deep water from the shore or rocks up here but what you really need is a good north or easterly wind. The fish come in close in the rough. Runswick is the bay from hell for weed and you really do need a local to guide you when to fish here, one tide its loaded, next its clear. By the way..... Please don't tell all the suvverners that its not all coal pits and cooling towers spewing pollution out in our fantastic part of the world.

You fished both my (what i call) local venues, Runswick is my fav spot. No good turning up there without a sufficiently heavy set up as like you found out, the venue will chew you up and spit you out, but it can and does throw out some real nice fish with perseverance. Shame I didn't find out you were up this way until the vids released as I would have popped down for chinwag. Anyhow excellent vids and banter as is the norm 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Nice vids lads, glad you enjoyed it. This coastline is my local, between saltburn and Whitby it's some of the best cod marks in England. Runswick is typically a rough sea mark but gets weeded out easilly, you'd of been better off heading abit further up closer to the rock marks. Everyone here uses strong rods, fixed spools and 60-100lb braid. You don't need deep water round here to catch cod, next time your up try giving cowbar/staithes a go. Remember to bring waders with studs

If you come with a sib, have a look at Skinningrove, I go there on my kayak, 1mile off you're in 75ft of water over rough ground, I just padle straight out, then spend a couple of hours drifting about with plastic lures of various designs and colours, never blanked and I go there 2/3 times a year every year for the last 6 years, if you look at reviews regarding Skinningrove on some angling sights, paints a black picture, believe none of it, top place and a top chip shop 😉
