That’s why a lot of people fish. Go out alone in nature, get some dirt on your hands again, and if you’re lucky there are no people to think about. Get a little of what life feels like it should be.

One of my favourites hands down. Jeff Little from TheLittleStuff is another great one. More flashy, fancy stuff but he was also a guide for years I believe. By far the best to learn how to break down a river for smallmouth. He also does a lot of custom tackle craft.

Caught my first fish, a Perch, in neighboring Minnesota...which my dad promptly dropped through a crack in the dock lol. A little disappointing for a 6 year old, but we stayed with it. What a great day to start your season. I have one suggestion, you do a great job of showing all of your gear components. I thought it might be nice to take it one step further and detail what knots you use for your leader to braid connection and leader to lure.
@ndyakangler
@ndyakangler Жыл бұрын
I’ve gone over that in a couple videos, I just don’t want to sound like a broken record for those that watch them all. With the fluoro leader I’ll use a Palomar at the lure and an Albright at the braid, and if you tie them in that order you can adjust the length easily before tightening the Albright.
@rickvoigt8720
@rickvoigt8720 Жыл бұрын

That was a fantastic video. I went to Canada a lot of years ago and fished a buzz bait a lot of the time there. I was amazed as how inaccurate they were when they would hit that buzz bait and miss and then you could watch them turn around and try again. I remember one Pike that hit at the buzz bait 3 or 4 times before he finally got it. The hardest part was not jerking the buzz bait when they hit at it the first time. Thanks for the video. I was fishing up in Ontario Canada in the spring and we found a shallow bay where the pike were just hanging around in the sun. We threw everything we had at them and they completely ignored all of it. A Canadian Jay was hopping along the shore, catching bugs or something. It hopped out onto a tree that had fallen into the water and when it hopped from one branch to another, a pretty big pike came up out of the water after it. When nothing else is working, try a bird lure.

I say that as I'm sitting here at midnight with the windows open and watching with all the natural sounds coming in the windows 😂, and an occasional vehicle 🙄 I wouldn't know what to do if I caught one of those beasts, we have muskie in lakes all around us in NE Ohio and I've never been face to face with one.
