Was just staying at Cambria past weekend, saw people catching some good fish at midnight there! I was parked right next to that convertible mustang. Just missed you it seems, haha. Anyways, there was a really nice gentleman there telling me he fishes the same walk every night. He said the rocks along cambria, just out a short cast was the channel and that's where he gets his hits. He'll be there between 11pm-3am.

It's been a pretty popular spot, I've seen some big fish pulled out of there too! In the later part of fall it's a popular tautog spot. The inlet is closed for a month due to concerts and events so I'll probably head back there once the water cleans up.

Thanks brother for the video. Looked like a beautiful day in OC but not for fishing. Been away for a while, having issues with mom. She has health issues and soooo sad that she can’t make it to OC anymore after 67 straight summer years. I’m back with my head in a better place now after feeling depressed for her sadness. Bike looks like fun. Just please wear a helmet down there bro! My girl just crashed on our bike ride last week and has a small dent in her helmet! Could have been her head. Take care Bro! Cheers!
@ReelJayB2 ай бұрын
Dang Scott, so sorry to hear about your mom and glad to hear your better! 67 years is a lot of awesome memories to have! I'll absolutely be careful on the bike, since I got it I've heard of a lot of electric bike crashes. A young lady was just killed here a few weeks ago riding one.

I was using live spot at the bulkhead and only had a few bites...sneaky Blues biting my bait in half lol...Fished out of my buddies boat at the 50 bridge yesterday and still got skunked and bit off by blues! great fun trying though!!!

Hey you have any info on the locations exatly of this off shore wind stuff every ones getting huff about? from what i looked up and did that math the only way you might see any thing would be from the top floors of the high-rises with 0 humidity and unlimited visibility which is super rare.
@ReelJayB2 ай бұрын
Yeah, they want to construct 114 turbines 10 miles off the coast. Each will have a red blinking light. They also want to construct a 2nd farm just 3 miles off shore. The 114 turbines will be between 600 and 800 feet tall. I can tell you this, 10 miles offshore I can see the highrise hotels in OC. So from land, you will definitely see the 114 turbines. And at night you'll see 114 red blinking lights. Overall it's a horrible idea. The sight of the turbines is just a small fraction of how bad it is.

@@Elios0000 If they were the slides from the company, they made it seem like this was a great idea and ahrdly noticeable. At one point they said it would be great for the fishing industry, then later said it would be a "no go" zone and no fishing allowed. The company is trying to sell us the idea of how great it is, but we all know its a horrible idea.

Better luck next time fishing. With the E-bike, how long does it take to fully charge?
@ReelJayB2 ай бұрын
Thanks! About 3 to 4 hours to fully charge.
@RickSaxon2 ай бұрын
May have missed it…..what is the distance you can travel per charge on the bike?
@ReelJayB2 ай бұрын
It varies based on weight and terrain, it says you can go 20 miles on a full charge....I'm sure that's for someone weighing 100lbs. Furthest I took it was 5.5 miles and it still had a little charge left to it.
@greatscotmagic4 күн бұрын
There is a formula that you can use to estimate the range of a battery. It will give you a closer approximation of actual range since it is not based upon someone that weighs 50 lb on a flat track. The formula is voltage x amp hours/25 So in this case it will be 36 * 7.5= 270/25=10.8 miles You are correct Jay that when e-bike manufacturers figure out their range - mileage, it generally is with somebody that does not weigh much on the bike. Additionally, they also find a very flat place to figure it out such as going around and around around a school track. They keep riding around it until the bike dies and then they figure out how far it went by checking the mileage on the display. It also does not take into account anything like hills, mountains, terrain, etc. All of which will affect the range as well. Jay you are getting pretty good mileage out of your bike given that you were an adult and someone that doesn't weigh 100 lb s!😂 I am 80 years old and disabled so I can't ride an electric bike due to balance issues, as a result I got myself a Narrak electric trike the beginning of the summer. It is a great trike, and I am happy that I got it. I prefer it to a handicap scooter because it will go further and at a faster rate than the scooter will. Love the videos!
@ReelJayB4 күн бұрын
@greatscotmagic that is some awesome information! I love that math formula too! I've seen those trikes before, they look like a lot of fun. Throw a basket on the back with a cooler and your good to go for a nice day trip somewhere.
