Been watching bass fishing on KZbin for couple years now and I just have a few questions. It it necessary to set the hook so aggressively? Why tie the lures straight to braid and not leader? Why skull drag the fish in and use such heavy gear? I assume there is a reason for all of it but it seems strange, in Australia we fish for massive fish with 6lb braid and leader and 1-3 kg rods and small reels. example and this is still a small flathead kzbin.infowM7-FCKpWA4?si=D6AfOFe_oGmDa5Lj Even when we fish around structure rock fishing, certain species of fish that are dirty fighters (fish that dive for structure and boulders) we still use 10-16lb line for em. Anyway, please let me know if there are reasons for the above as I love watching all the American bass channels!
