Never seen a lion fish in Aitutaki, I think they are quite rare. All the Cook Islands websites warn for stone fish, never a mention about Lion fish which is much more dangerous.

It definitely gave me a surprise, especially because I reached under to unhook the fly and almost got spiked! Beautiful fish all the same, just gotta keep eyes open!!
