your first location, is my absolute FAVORITE spot in all of jacksonville! and when things are right, its actually s pretty good fishing spot. show up at the beginning of low tide and fish the incoming, usually about 30 minutes after slack, if the tides arent very low, things start to pick up!

Are there alligator gar in Jacksonville? I’d love to come down and fish Florida for my first time I just don’t know what baits (cut baits) and live baits are primary in the area and what fish are the norm when fishing inland or beach front
@VISUAL-LY
@VISUAL-LY Жыл бұрын
There are some around but they won’t mess with you. They’re more scared of us than anything. But if you want to use live bait for fishing inshore here, you’ll be good with live shrimp, mud minnows, or finger mullet. Cut mullet or cut ladyfish are good too

@@andrewtownsend4295 that’s Ft George inlet. Just cross the bridge over to the other side and there’s a parking lot on the left. $3 to park though. Incoming tide will always be more clear, because clean water from the ocean is flowing in. Outgoing tide won’t be as clean, dirty marsh water and debris is getting flushed out into the ocean. Hey I love the videos what size hook ,corks and ,weight you use
@VISUAL-LY
@VISUAL-LY Жыл бұрын
In most of my videos, I’m just using a jighead (weighted hook). Either 3/16oz or 1/4oz. That’s all you need fishing around here in the creeks for reds, trout, and flounder. If going for sheepshead, I don’t use anything more than a 1oz Carolina rig with a 1/0 or 2/0 size hook. As far as corks, just get the Cajun thunder, my favorite on the market.

Fished all over Jacksonville in the 80's and early 90's from the bank. The fishing was great back then compared to today. Today many of the best spots are blocked off now "we are all terrorists" and it's just too dangerous now.
