Fishing and Exploring a REMOTE River for Cutthroat and Bull Trout | Idaho Fly-Fishing

Well this was a fun one! I had an awesome time hiking and exploring a completely foreign part of this river system to me. This river is incredibly special in its high gradient nature that maintains cool water in a deep canyon for bull trout to thrive, but the cost of this is accessibility for those on foot. As difficult as this can make trips, it is extremely special to be somewhere where only a few have ever seen. I definitely plan on making this trip again, and hopefully earlier in the year to attempt to target the bull trout earlier in their migration up stream. Thanks a bunch for watching! Thank you very much! I use a Sony A7iii with a Sigma 24-70 F2.8 lens. It's definitely more on the beginner side for these kinda things, but I am definitely still a beginner so it fits me well haha!

What are you using for your dropper on the sparkler minnow?

I just was nymphing a pats rubber leg below the sparkle minnow. Some of that pocket water is difficult to fish a streamer traditionally.

Lucky , me, and my buddy spent four days up there near the Sawtooth’s and got our asses handed to us probably didn’t help There were so many people fishing for salmon.

Yeah, there's many times I go out and get abused by the bull trout. They are tricky to pin down some times with how much they migrate and tend to have peak feeding times
