Here's a tip on a calm day like that loose the weight and throw on a whole squid and let it drift down. There are big lings just chilling

@@adventureswithjohn1749Hi can you share the spot? I want to bring my kids to play and try
@Memo-nd6fj8 ай бұрын
@@stayingoffthegrid3844 exactly what I was thinking, maybe just a couple of split shots to help hold it down. Also, we used to use mussels. Break it open and use a sharp knife and just cut the inner muscle on the inside of both halfs and thread it on to your hook like a worm. Also, small crabs are also good bait if you can catch them.

Ay man that seems like a dope spot, I’m heading to Monterrey from LA tomorrow for the first time any recommendations on what artificial lures to throw?
@adventureswithjohn17493 жыл бұрын
I haven’t fished a ton of artificial stuff in the Bay Area here, I mostly use fresh bait. But I’ve had people tell me that they have good luck with swim baits and jigs out here. Brighter colors would probably be better
