That flathead was a Yellowtail Flathead they only have to be 30cm. Bag limit of 5 (three species combined not not including Duskies) Dusky Flathead are 40 to 75cm bag of 5.

@@TobysfishingNoutdoors Yeh beach fishing, years a go I lived in Cannonvale and used to fish off the beach at Hideaway bay....I think its been very developed round there. Mind you all I caught were shovel nose sharks!
