Compliment with sweet potote fries and mustard and pepper sauce, washed down with fresh pineapple , orange or lime juices or red wine. Delicious...

Danny, you missed ten years of good fishing. Now you hit the jack spot at Ciparuni. Don't get excited, many more to come , all sorts especially the Lux and Bassah. You just passd our Camping ground on the left hand side by a small creek that throws cool and clear black water. You will see a new platform where we cleaned them and put them in the Cooler.The river is a bit rank at this point, so we used the creek water to cook and bathe. Warning - please walk with another small engine in case of breakdowns and be careful at nights as there are huge jaguars and alligators around. Its fun to you but we have seen them over and over. A shot in the river makes them scamper away, Bettet be safe than never. I still want you to see them photos of our catch in years gone by. Looking at you in the boat hollering, bring back memories of o'er.When you catch a Red fin (Skeete) then you will feel on top of the world. They sometimes run 250 lbs. and gives you a good fight. Go by the falls for Arawana and tiger fish. Watch out for the Gold Pontoons they wash with chemicals and pollutes the river.
@ITSOURLIFEARD3 жыл бұрын
We did see alligators 🐊 s as nd yes a second engine is always safer even a second vehicle on the trail is much safer in case one gets a mechanical issue.
@preacherboss54353 жыл бұрын
@@ITSOURLIFEARD Good for you. please be safe. You are far away and help may not come soon, so its wise to be prepared. We use four vehicles and four 0utbords. Take with you the large Canister of mosquito repellant (looks like Candles) and place them around the Camp. Its good to keep away everything. I like that word " Guyana man". Watch out for rocks as they can pop the propellor. I am enjoying the show from this end.
@shampersaud27633 жыл бұрын
Interesting comment about wild life camping and fishing. I am pleased to know you shoot into the water to scare the jaguar and crocs out of your vicinity without killing them..Very good advises too.
@preacherboss54353 жыл бұрын
@@shampersaud2763 Sham, people may take it differently but its the truth. The Jaguar is banned from shooting and the crocs is only eaten by a few in Guyana. The Jaguar is a beautiful animal and should be allowed to go on its way but one has to be careful when you are in Camps at nites by the Rivers, as the bloody fish smell goes a far way in the bush and attracts them. There is the Labba tiger that comes around too. Not trying to scare anybody just trying to put them on the alert. I do not shoot alligators.nor do I eat them. Any time you go to Siparuni Landing, you will see a huge Caiman floating in the water at the Ramp.He is there because the boys call him their friend and feeds him with fishes. We bathe on the Ramp but when he goes under, we move back up . The saying from the boys is that he keeps the Piranaha away from us.Ask the men at the landing if he is still around. I did not see him when I was there last month. Maybe the flood moved him away. Thanks for the comment. I have photo of the huge black Caiman when feeding him.
@shampersaud27633 жыл бұрын
@@preacherboss5435 great story about the caiman.. Maybe they don't sense fear but love with the people goes a long way even in the animal kingdom .You are quite an experienced Bush guy , as it seems. Enjoy every moment of your life...

Nice video..keep the nature stuff coming. Question: Do you not encounter wild animals in the bush? I know Guyana have many...jaguars, anaconda etc. Is it not dangerous camping (especially with all that fish to attract predators)?

Danny - You are catching them two by two but something is missing. When you catch a Peacock Bass (Male) then you would have to scream louder. All I see you are bringing up are females. The male has a huge hump on its back and is ten pounds or more. Bring in one of those and I will laugh my head off. He gives you a good fight and the meat is much stiffer. You are doing great. The driver aint speaking much but he seems to be an experienced guy. Well you have it all-enjoy! Let him keep that boat away from the Corners and trusting he has a short foot outboard. When next you are at Chinaman Landing just check to see if my Caiman friend is still there by the Ramp awaiting his dinner. Ask the Indian worker at the Ramp top if he is still around. I miss him when I was there last month.Maybe the flood waters took him away. He has been there for over five years.
