Hi and thanks for this great video.....I am just getting into fishing and would love to try pike fishing at the same reservoir....can pike be targeted from the shore? Also can single hooks be used instead of trebles and can barbless be used?

Hi Graham, you can fish in places from the shore but access to some areas is difficult, try getting an O.S.map to find the paths etc. I would stick to barbless trebles on your lures rather than single hooks. The pike there don't grow very large, If you want biguns try Windermere or Coniston. Boat fishing is always better than the bank but plenty are caught from the shores. Good luck...Phil.

Have you had any Ferox from Derwent while trolling, I'm up there for a trip this easter and wondered if its worth targeting them

sorry to take so long, i didn't notice your comment. We never had any ferox there, its not worth targeting them IMHO. better to troll as much as possible in the hope you eventually come across one. You have a better chance on Windermere if you want ferox.
